  1. did you also factor in that members are going to refer the forum to someone else, so the more members there are, there'll be more referrals.
  2. bloody nice shots, but I've got a few issues with the taillight pic. 1. you can see someone's reflection in the taillight which isn't good 2. there's garbage in the gutter!! otherwise, the shot is great and I guess you can always cut off the bottom portion of it. geez, I really need a camera stand... :(

nope! they can't fine you for saying you did this, or did that, but if they know who you are, rest assured that your rego plate number (and others) will be given out to patrol units and they'll be told to look out for those cars. btw, 140kmh on parra rd... that's insane! *shakes head*
  4. well... the T5 should handle the power unless you drive flat-stick for a while. you'll crunch it eventually. I know of a guy with a 5.7L (stroker) XR8 with something like 230rwkw and his standard 'box was coping quite well. however, I've hardly ever seen him drive flat-out. the differential should be able to handle it, but you'll probably shorten its life considerably. all in all, if you're planning on modding your XR6T I'd advise you sus out the XR8 gearbox, or talk to someone about getting a T3650 (same box as in the T3 and Pursuit ute). they can cope with pretty much anything you throw at them!

whoa! already? bloody hell... well, not like I'm complaining. the more people total their XR6Ts, the easier it's gonna be for me to get a Barra 240 engine! :D
  6. ahhh, it's a long story... a wheel fell off?! holy mother of all marshmallows! I can imagine he's not a happy camper!
  7. well, according to one of the guys I spoke to today, paul weel fitted a larger intercooler, exhaust and cranked up the boost on an XR6T as was getting 305fwkw!!! I don't know if that's true, but it sounds pretty much spot on!

believe it or not, I asked myself why modify cars? what's the point? I couldn't think of the answer but I still feel the need to splurge more money on my car. hehe
  9. all I can say is GIMME!!! I reckon it looks awesome! it's a bit of mustang in it in the C pillar methinks. it looks hot!
  10. for the benefit of the banned, please ellaborate?

hahahahaha that IS cheap... (not the badge) oh wait! that means I can get one when I get my car turboed! SWEET!!
  12. mp3 players are awesome! I've had one (sony single cd mp3 head unit) in my car for nearly 2 years and I just can't get enough of it! I've got something like 1200 tracks in my car at all times, and I'm redoing all my cd's to update them and have all the albums by one artist on one cd, etc. ed-au-ba-xr6 I noticed you've got roots bloody roots there. ever heard the cannibal corpse version? I'm not a huge fan of cannibal corpse (I'll still listen to it) but their version is awesome!
  13. hmmm... well, I listen to all the stuff I've got at home, but I do have a preferrence to either 70s rock or some form of metal (heavy, thrash, nu, death, black, extreme, etc) when I'm driving - I need fast-paced music.
  14. That price should come down eventually considering these things are one-offs! BTW, that's 257kw at the flywheel - I spoke to one of the guys from city ford today and he was telling me about it. sounds promising! with some fine tuning, a good exhaust setup should bring about 260fwkw easily!

So you won't be buying an XR6T anytime soon? :D She's more of a ford nutter then I am. lucky bastard... my chicky is a Expensive Daewoo girl... :(

I'd prefer not to answer that question because I don't recommend that company's products after all the crap I've been through with them. Try KYB and King Springs.

I wouldn't drop that car by more than an inch! I dropped mine 2" front and nearly 3" rear, but AU wheelarches are massive compared to BA. If you lower it by more than 1.5" you might have serious front guard clearance issues. As for the main players, can't go past King Springs. Give them a buzz and I'm sure they'll be able to tell you when are they anticipating to release new products for the BA. One thing that all of you might want to consider as well are swaybars! I'm not sure what kind of swaybars the BAs have, but I'm quite sure they wouldn't be very stiff. Beef them up a bit and you should notice a HUGE difference in high speed stability, less bodyroll, etc.
  18. WHOA!! if that's the case, I'm getting the turbo dohc engine tomorrow, even if I have to rip one out of an XR6! that has GOT to be at the fly.
  19. turbo_nick replied to a post in a topic in Ford Discussion
that's exactly what I'm doing - waiting for Series II XR8 or second hand late Series I XR8. I'm planning on shoving a 182/240 Barra engine into my car anyway, so there won't be any need for an XR6T.
  20. The FPV day is on 2 March guys! You know you want to! hehehehe

  22. oh man! put me down for one of each! sweet as! I've been waiting for some modern 1:18 Ford roadcars for yonks!
  23. FoMoCo or the Ford dealer? I keep saying it - most non-warranty-related stuffups are due to the dealers being incompetent morons rather than Ford getting their wires mixed up.
  24. We also do the Stalker in chrome and Hyper Power (shadow chrome) but they are dearer - MUCH dearer. I'm not sure about stock either...
  25. Not to mention our first BA XR6 member attended, with his Blueprint XR6, with 18" rims (man, do they look nice or what?!) and premium sound. It was a good cruise apart from getting lost a few times! haha
