Why?

It's BSA... quality is going to be questionable. It'll probably be ok, but I've seen too many defects on BSA wheels to just go, oh yeah, they're great.

Once again, these are ONLY available in 18x8 and will be in 19x8. There will be NO WIDE WHEELS coming from these guys.

When you say they're light, how light are they exactly? Have you weighed them at all?

chrome = *wanking motion* Chrome works well on bumpers found on classics. Then again, you seem to have made the right choice anyway. hehe That's fair enough, but I could say the same thing about Advanti Viennas. Every Tom, Dick and Harry has them on his Falcon/Late model camira these days. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome-looking rim but they're getting a little bit too common. They do look the goods in 20" on Commodores though. *dons flame-proof suit*

Oh for sure, I'd love that too. But they won't do it. So yeah...

I'm not talking about load ratings at all, only about the rolling diameter. Load ratings can vary from tyre to tyre.

Actually, they go by the largest available tyre and rim combination for that model, regardless of whether it's standard or optional. With BAs, you'd have to run 245/30R20 (licorice strips) if they fit or 225/35R20. The only other thing that'll fit (won't be legal) is a small-mould 235/35R20. Are you after performance or just the fully sik look?

A lot. They'd have to create a new mould, and that costs big bucks. Guys, there's lots of wide rims out there. ROH can go up to 12" wide.

They are only going 8" wide, I already asked the question because I'm interested in a staggered set too. As for the finish, I would check all wheels before picking them up if some group buy was to happen. Might start a dedicated thread...

Well, if there's enough demand for these, I can't see why it can't be done. The only thing that'd be left to do is freight them out to people and get them fitted.

Give it a month or two and they should be sweet. I thought about doing a group buy of some 18s but there's not much in it. The margins are lower than I thought, and the difference in price wouldn't be that great. I'd need to have orders for at least 5 sets to do them at $900 or so.

Yup, that's pretty much spot on. Roughly $1000+ for 18s, not sure on the 19s yet, but my money would be on $1300 or thereabouts. Most shops have access to them, and they're made by BSA. Not my favourite wheel manufacturer, but what can you do. If you buy a set, check the finish BEFORE they fit tyres or do anything to them. BSA are not renowned for the quality finish of their wheels.

They're not on any websites yet but I'm hoping to have a picture of it soon. I've only got the wholesale price, so I have no idea what individual shops will want to charge. I'll make a few calls re: rrp tomorrow and let you guys know.

They are finally available! A company has started manufacturing a copy of the Typhoon rim, which is great news for everyone who doesn't want to spend $3500+ on genuine rims. Thus far, they've got 18x8 BA F6 rims, but will be getting 19x8s too, which is interesting because Ford never did the BA F6 rim in 19". BF F6 rims are on the way too.

Well, throwing money and patching things up will fix anything, yes, but cars just don't develop 3+ degrees of negative camber and drop a corner 15mm for no reason. There might be other underlying issues which may need fixing.

I wouldn't even drive past the shop. Look, although I'm a "qualified" wheel aligner, I am not a wheel aligner by trade so my knowledge of wheel alignments is ample but rudimentary. Even I know enough about BA suspension to not make such a call. The industry is full of monkeys...

Great! There goes more money... My clutch has been slipping from day 1 though. The Ford unit is bloody terrible! Maybe it's ok for Reg who just bought an XR6T with his super payout and will only clock up 10,000-shopping-kms a year, but not when you're trying to get down the quarter and you're slipping in 1st and 2nd! It couldn't start slipping at a worse time either! The air's getting pretty cold at night now and my tune's just been sorted out. The car drives like a dream!

Not sure if the latest Wheel tyre test had anything to do with it? hehe

SP3000s were not made for that kind of power. You need a good tyre if you're going to edit an XR6T otherwise you'll just sit there spinning them up. There's no point in increasing your car's power if you can't get that power down. Even though my Z1s (Maxxis) have MAYBE 1mm of legal tread left they will only chirp in 1st and I'm pushing 255-260rwkw. They're useless in the wet in first 3 gears but that's to be expected. I'd like to get some V103s but I really don't want to pay retail so I may have to settle for something else.
