Haha poor corolla, I actually had a chuckle when I was just about to turn the corner at the end and he was just crossing the line.. But I've been there and done that in my old falcon haha... The 10.8 was barley 1500rpm, the others were from about 2200rpm

Haha yea, apparently the commentary was pretty funny, I'll see if I have any other footage... But I'd say it would definitely be a different story on the street from a dig Not at this stage Matty, I have to get my finances back in order then definitely go out and try to drop that ET

Thanks guys, appreciate it.. Gaz, If you know the basics of how and more importantly why a 4 stroke engine works your half way there.. Then you need to learn the software to be able to make the changes that you desire.. I've been around the performance scene my whole life, and I'm fortunate enough to have dad there who is an encyclopaedia of knowledge but has never really played with efi stuff, it all works on the same basic principle #sucksqueezebangblow... I encourage anyone with enough confidence to give it a go

Thanks guys, makes all the time and money worth it... I forgot to mention how lucky I was to fly under the radar on the first run with a 10.8 and 140mph I should of been booted... They picked up on it on the 11.0 run, I told them it was a 2008 model which allows you to run down to a 10.0 without getting booted rather then 10.99, but 140mph you still need a chute/Andra tech inspection etc

Well I made it home in one piece managed a best of 10.8@140mph.. It is a freezing night and the track lost all Its temp extremely quickly, especially with lots of stopping and starting due to oil downs and accidents... But all in all I'm over the moon once again, I can finally say that I have built a genuine 10 second street car, driven to and from the track.. Built, tuned, driven by me, now that's an achievement in my books.. Pretty weak 60" as it spun 1st and some of 2nd every time, I think ill wait for a test and tune where they prep the track better and possibly a hotter day to give it abit of temperature 10.8@140mph, 1.9 60" 11.0@136mph, 2.1 60" 11.3@138mph, 2.2 60" I'll concentrate on strengthening and sorting out the suspension setup to lower the ET then start feeding her more boost, 140mph is moving and suggests mid to high 400's??

Ahh your saying to leave it as is, and compress with the long Allen key, adjust and release, lining it back up on the way up?
-
Peppy's Build Thread
I though The shock has to be fully compressed to lock into the plate at the bottom which changes the rebound??

Peppy's Build Thread
Rears are easy as, with the wheels of undo the top shock bolt, push it all the way down and turn it wherever you like... Clockwise is stiff, anticlockwise is soft For the Fronts the whole strut has to come out and the spring seperate from from the shock... Quite time consuming
-
Peppy's Build Thread
I also stiffened up the shocks and put the stock springs in the rear.. Dad explained its like your trying to push the wheels towards the ground, not actually trying to achieve a squat as such, your trying to transfer the weight and power to the ground.. Obviously 90/10 shocks are designed for drag racing to work in this way, but we'll see how these koni red classics go I guess

Well thanks to Veva, I have a new found love for radials, what a difference, it really loads the car up 100% and you can hear the different tone.. I got 3 of my mates to come with me for some test hits and freeway pulls, wow, I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm talking it up, but I really am over the moon with how the car feels... 1st gear is still a write off, but 2nd is touch and go, if I short shift 1-2 hold it for a second then click 3rd it seems to pull, just have to try and keep the wheels from turning otherwise it was still baking 1-2-3 and leaving very dark marks... The box seemed to like it aswell, crisp firm shifts that held everything in, still some torque reduction during the shifts I jacked it up checked all the main bolts again... I might re-gap the plugs tomorrow and check a few other things but I'm happy to take her out and see what she can do with a soft tune in her, still 0.79-0.8lambda 18* timing and 22-19psi boost Not going to break any records but I'll be happy just to get down the track

Inboxes Veva and SCT911 I'm toying with the idea of taking her to the drags tomorrow.. I'm in two minds, as I don't want to rush into it and overlook something, but I'm farking keen to get out there!! As for tyres I have a spare set of 17x8's (std BF wheels) and 18x8's (premium BF wheels)... Am I better off with 275/40/17 Et Street Radials 265/40/18 Et Street 2 I'm aware they ideally should be fitted to a 9-10" rim, but will this combo work, and will they fit under the guards? I have the std xr6 springs that can go in, and koni adjustable shocks, soften them up? Disconnect the front sway bar? Also with a double cycle of the ignition, she starts fine, so I'll definitely be getting a check valve [emoji106]

Roger, then it's up to the pumps to hold the pressure at the other end?
-

Hmmm does this mean that I will require a valve at either end of the fuel system? Surely this will cause some resriction... Say, one after the fuel filter and one after the fuel reg?
-
Peppy's Build Thread
the fuel system is in detail awhile back... But this did cross my mind, it only holds pressure in the line for 10mins or so once turned off.. Modified KPM fuel module with twin 460's, -8 Teflon feed and return, magnafuel 2000hp reg

Yea mate, she's pulled tight!! When installing/mounting it I used a long screw driver to pry the cats off the chassis, and have a hose clamp around the rubber mount... I believe it could be touching on the top, and the billet mounts are causing everything to sit higher as there's not as much squash once the weight is on them... Well that's what I'm hoping

Interesting stuff hey xr6tForMe, I saw this throughout my research... Over the weekend I had abit more of a play with the tune, only making minor changes and I'll say it again, I'm over the moon with the car, I can cruise it comfortably at 110kph 1750rpm, zero vibrations, and no more noise then expected with a full 4" exhaust lol... Cruise off a set of lights with smooth crisp changes, then comes to life with a stab of the throttle I'm still tweaking the idle as when stopped and in gear the cats touch the chassis, in neutral it's fine, and that's with those technico billet mounts I got... I have some std mounts to go in It comfortably idles at 550-580rpm... Cold start is getting there, 70% of the time it will start first click without stumbling, but the other 30% it will stumble and die but fire on the second click as if it were already warm... after the first start of the day it will happily click straight over first click every time... I started feeding her some timing, to my surprise the boost dropped! I didn't touch anything else, for those that know, since Powerplay it was seeing a total of around 13-14* at WOT with 0.79-0.8 lambda, I can't log boost because the factory sensor is pegged around 21psi, and it would go out of range by 4000rpm... 0 duty cycle, 0 gate pressure on the e-boost.. Without watching it full time, It would hover around 22-24 psi I've taken it to a total of 18* ramping in hard, it goes to 19psi and gradually rises to 22psi where it stays... And Fark me I have honestly never felt anything pull the way this was last night.. It even broke loose from 160kph on one pull... Dad suggests it's due to a more efficient burn in the cylinder, and I should keep feeding it.. I should add that I am still running std Knock sensitivity and the car is receiving pretty much exactly what I'm giving it.. I also got new tyres, Nexen 1000 they were cheap through a mate but AAA rated and rated to 280kph I believe, they are softer then the Nitto Invos I had previously... I'm still looking for some gt335 rims in 9" or 9.5" Thanks guys... P.S No unloading vids as yet, but don't loose faith, I will provide when I have some decent footage lol... If you live local to me I'm keen for a cruise whenever you are, weekends are preferable

Hey Guys, I got my Gibson Shaft on Tuesday, and it looks the goods, I was so excited I didn't take any pictures, it's larger in diameter, bigger Uni's, sikaflex on the centre bearing and and marble painted haha.. I used my iPhone as a level, sat it against the flange on the transmission and zeroed it.. Once I installed the shaft I placed it against the bottom edge of the first half and it read exactly 90* then placed it on the second half and it read 91* so the first half is true and the second has a 1* angle, this was with the rear ended elevated but the rear wheels sitting on ramps, so essentially as it would be in normal driving conditions... No packing was used on the centre bearing.. Only issue was that I was sent imperial bolts for the rear flange to diff, so they screwed 3/4 into the diff before getting tight and not moving any further, so I got some high tensile 10x1.5 30mm bolts and all good As for the drive, no complaints, still fark all timing and 0 wastegate duty cycle, it's useless taking it any further on the street as it just unloads as soon as boost comes on in 1,2,3,4 even over 100kph... I really am over the moon with the car

Need Honest Help On Fuel Supply For 500Awkw
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the kpm twin pump fuel modules only work with the BF2-FG style tank which has a retaining ring that twists into place, where as the screw in type is the BA style?? I fitted an FG tank to my BF for this reason

I believe it's more to do with the bushes Barnz, our cars are full of bushes, and people rarely change then all at once? So that could take up a little for each one, or similar... But yea now you mention it Gaz, Chris did say something about sikaflex in the centre bearing... LU82 you would assume that there would be some movement in the cradle with the comfort style bush,10-15mm maybe, not sure what that would work out to in degrees over the length of the shaft... Hey 20pounds, no I don't believe I ever experienced the 2-1 bump
