  1. I've washed the F6 4 times in 7 months.......but I have it detailed every 2-3 weeks by a car detailer. CBF wasting my time washing the thing.
  2. Got the new dyno sheet yet? BTW, what's with tuner's only handing out dyno sheets showing power and torque? What are they hiding?
  3. You need a CPL to own and fly your own 747? Don't you have a PPL already (or restricted)? ← Done over 40hrs of flying, but don't have my ppl yet. It's on my to-do list one day...... Yes, you do need a CPL to fly your own 747, including all the required certifications and ratings. It's not different to owning a car but not having a drivers licence.
  4. A CPL and a Boeing 747-438ER or an Airbus A380 to travel around in.
  5. Yes, although mine was more lack of minimum boost and exhaust related issues. However, I recently did some troubleshooting on another T with boost issues. The problem with that car was the lack of response under 3500rpm but no issues with peak power. You could see on the dyno graph exactly when the power shot up. As it turned out, the car had a 8psi actuator installed but there wasn't enough preload on the wastegate swingvalve assembly. What that did was allow the swing valve to remain partially open causing the exhaust gases to bleed-off through the wastegate port, starving the turbine wheel of the gass it needs to spin. Hence the lack of response down low.
  6. Funny that Dynowog does'nt even put actuators in his 320-360 rwklw kits as he said there not needed or fuel pumps ← Yeah funny that, some *beep* think that no boost control = good tuning

What are the SAS doing on the Kanimbla? Kinda strange to have them there for a potential evacuation situation.......
  8. Good stuff Adrian. I'm glad you got it fixed.
  9. Well I didn't, I spoke to Dave. Good enough for me
  10. Welcome to the world of Free Trade Agreements. The only difference being, we're trying to compete with people who only earn a tenth of what we earn. Someone please remind me how globalisation and FTA's are good for the worker's of this country.
  11. Saw Ninka this morning around 830am turning from Gt Eastern Hwy onto Graham Farmer Freeway.
  12. Check out http://www.flightlevel350.com Some military and a heap of commercial aviation videos.
  13. Awesome footage
  14. Yep, bigger inlet on the pump, bigger screen filter. Can also deliver 275l/hr with voltage upgrade.
  15. Try http://www.petroject.com.au/ They've an office in Perth. You'll more than likely end up with a GSS-294, which is a better pump. As for fitting, it's a big job compared to a sedan. Dare I suggest you book it in somewhere and have it done.
  16. Well, I picked up the phone today and briefly spoke to Dave, after your post about me picking up another 30-40rwkw with their exhaust. I explained the mods I have, power it makes and the boost it's running. "Nope, don't think so. Unlikely" and words to that effect were said. Damn helpful people to speak to though!
  17. Sh!t. For a moment I thought I had to update my signature
  18. How much did this cost, and did it cover installation of new bearings, any possible machining and variable speed rebalancing?
  19. Haha. Mark did, I told him about the recent upgrade, but he wanted to find out first hand what it was like. Mad!
  20. Thanks Robin. I guess I was after too much boost variation with the tunes, however that cannot be possible. I'll fit the 12psi actuator and post the results when done.
  21. Yeah, it's the next one up over the stock setting. 7-8psi I think it is. I've never used the 11.9psi one but will install it and see how it goes. I've a 15psi one sitting next to my pc for over a year now, and could give that one a try as well.
  22. Thanks Robin. The guy from Turbotech also suggested the actuator is probably the cause of the boost drop. I've commanded 100% duty cycle from 4000rpm onwards but boost still drops off (most noticeable when the charge temp is hot). I'll put a probe in the dump pipe before the cat and measure any backpressure in the exhaust system. If there is I might hack up my "BITSA" exhaust by removing the 3.5" dump pipe and install my old 4" SMB unit to see if that makes any difference. What size dump pipe are you running?
  23. I'm open to suggestions as to what the problem might be, albeit helpful ones I agree the power is dying way too early - on the dyno. Checking boost on the road it's making 17psi from 3500rpm to 6000rpm. I washed the car this afternoon and noticed the bootlid was covered in rubber. I suspect the wheels are spinning on the dyno which may be reducing load on the engine. I'll be buggered if I can strap the car down any harder! I'll give Turbotech a call and organise to check the car on their dyno. I saw the dyno sheet of the A6 that went 350rwkw (I assume it's the one Simon tuned), but looking at that graph torque is 200nm less than what I'm getting. The turbo upgrade could be part of the problem, with exhaust manifold back pressure a possible contributing factor. I'll also reiterate the boost I'm running is peaking @ 15psi in the mid range and tapering to 10psi @ peak rpm, which may be indicative of the load being lost due to wheelspin. I cannot compare mine against the A6 you mention, as without all the data we'd simply be guessing. Where's the boost graph? Adrian 6T is testoment to the performance of the car after this evening. It hasn't wheelspun this badly in 3rd gear rolling along - ever.
  24. Hi Spruce, I hear you but Jason efforts are being hindered by his "BITSA" Exhaust!" Sorry ... just stating facts Cheers ← Geez, just to imagine what the car would be capable of with a proper exhaust The system is similar to any single system, with a 3.5" dump pipe flaring to a 4" inlet/outlet Ballistic 5" body cat, merging back to 3.5" single system with 2 mufflers. I'm sure your comments Just-in are probably not appreciated by Simon from Nizpro, and do Nizpro a real disservice. The only comment Simon has said about my ability is positive, as per his comment in this post http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=458251 Take it up with Simon if you disagree. In the mean time if you can do better, here's the perfect opportunity to show your ability.
  25. Will probably see you there crans.
