I rang up about 3 months ago and they wanted $2700 plus delivery and the valve was extra .
  2. lol if there was a better performing exhaust on the market I would buy it. I think for sound and flow it's probably still the best it's just a shame the quality isn't better. After talking to one of the other forum members he has recommended a better quality v band. So I will probably get Joe (cms) to order them when he orders the exhaust. I think I will give the valve a miss and just stick some sound deadener in the boot
  3. I think Joe has seen up to 470kw out of the stage one pw cooler but that was on kevs (process west) car I think that had a built motor ?
  4. Top of the list when it's time to upgrade.
  5. Hopefully the stage one cooler doesn't hold me back too much
  6. Lol yeah doesn't sound to good , quality sounds like it's a bit inconsistent.
  7. Just waiting for cms to open back up so I can book in , just need to upgrade the exhaust and tune. Not sure what exhaust yet but will probably be the nizpro one.
  8. Must be driving you crazy. CMS pretty much only do fords so they might be able to help. You might want to start a thread in the 300kw section of this forum , list all your mods , who tuned it and put up a dyno sheet . That way everyone will know what work you have have had done to the car. No pressure lol as I know the forum is not for everyone but it can make things easier to get other people's opinions when modifying your car. Make sure you post back in here if you find the solution to your problem. Goodluck
  9. I can only compare the standard fg turbo to the precision 6235 . I only run e85 so I can't comment on how the response is on 98. And both the turbos were tuned on 17psi. Obviously the boost on the standard turbo tapers towards the top end . The difference in spool is minimal . I take off in second most of the time so lag can't be too bad
  10. Crescent motorsports at prestons do all the work on my car and I've always been happy with their service. I think they open back up on the 12th of January. The engine and gearbox mounts that you have fitted , are they standard ford ones or aftermarket? Did you have this vibration before any of this work was carried out? With an issue like this it's hard for someone to pin point the problem without seeing the car , so any reply you get on here will just be a guess .
  11. I'm running invos at the moment , good tyre for the price . They do grip a lot better when the temperature is above 20°c . But most tyres I've used don't grip too well until you get a bit of heat into them.
  12. As long as you don't drive too much in the rain. Not too bad when they are new but once they wear down a bit they are dangerous . Mainly if driving in 80k to 110kmh zones, a simple lane change and you start going sideways.
  13. Seeing as you put in a new tailshaft I'm guessing the Centre bearing is new . It is rubber mounted so maybe that's why it looks like it's sitting a bit low. It's been a while since I've had the standard tailshaft so I can't remember if it was spaced at all. I have been told that ford do ballance the shaft while it's on the car so that might be worth looking into. But normally if it's a ballance issue you would feel it while cruising at speed not just when under acceleration. But it's worth getting it checked if you haven't already had it balanced. Other than that I wouldnt really get them to do much else because I don't think they are very good at problem solving. Where are you located ?, depending on where you are someone on here might be able recommend the best place to take your car to solve the issue before you spend anymore money.
  14. It depends on what power you are looking to make and if you plan on taking it to the track. If you're only running stock power then the standard tailshaft is fine. So while cruising you feel no vibration ? It's only when accelerating hard.
  15. Do you have an upgraded tailshaft or is it standard?
  16. I think the other cars that run fixed paddles run the indicators on the steering wheel so it allows for better placement of the paddles.
  17. Why are the paddles mounted toward the top of the steering wheel rather than at the sides? The first reason is that our opinion is that the paddles should be out of the way of the wiper and indicator stalks. When you are wrestling with the steering wheel (for example in an over-steer situation) you want the paddles to be in an area of the wheel that is unobstructed from other items. The second reason is that with your hands in the proper locations (10 & 2 o'clock) this is a very natural position for your fingers to pull the paddles. The third is that when you pull the indicator stalk for temporary high beam and the washer stalk for the wash function the stalks come very close to touching the steering wheel. There is no room for a paddle in between the stalks and the steering wheel. If you wanted to sacrifice the temporary high beam and wash functions you could probably rig up paddles that sit at the sides of the wheel. Our opinion is that this solution would be less functional (paddles crowded by the stalks) than the current solution. Your opinion may be different in which case you certainly can mount your own switches where ever you like. Each switch is simply a momentary normally open switch that closes when you pull the paddles. The switches that come mounted in the switch blocks can be removed and used in your own switching mechanism or you could use your own switches.
  18. Lol , this is his explanation. ) Why are the paddles stationary rather than move with the steering wheel? We consider this to be the better option as the paddles are always in the same position no matter what position the steering wheel is in. In a race car with a quick ratio steering rack there is an argument for moving paddles but not when the wheel can turn 900 degrees (2.5 turns). As a test, take off aggressively at a small intersection turning left. If you had to remove your hands from the 10 and 2 o'clock positions then rotating paddles would be impractical. Besides, there are many supercars that have stationary paddles such as the Ferrari 458 & 599....., Lamborghini Merchialago, Pagani Zonda etc.
  19. Has anyone used this setup http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/121527775595?nav=SEARCH

I was going to get a nizpro exhaust next month but the mixed reviews has kind of turned me off. If the tog exhaust is the same minus the extra muffler I might see if I can get the tog exhaust through best mufflers . Then they can add the extra muffler and modify it so it's a perfect fit.
  21. Are you riding solo or in a team. ? I went in it a few years ago in a team of 3 . We lasted about 6hours and got bored , went out and got on the piss . Kicked on until the morning and went back and started riding again , crashed twice then called it a day lol.
