23/12/14 04:30 AM23/12/14 04:30 AM #1 My turbo is starting to develop a noise in spin down when I shut the car off.. Pretty sure I might not see the turbo for much longer.. Currently setup:1000hp rapid cooler setup.60lb DekasWalbro 255 intank4inch dump and twin 2.5 xforce12psi turbosmart actuator and wastegate flapper mod.I want to just replace turbo for now as can't afford much more..Later kpm intank and 1000cc injectors and probably eflexWhat turbo would you suggest and what should I see on pump fuel with current setup on either turbo???

29/12/14 12:39 PM29/12/14 12:39 PM #5 1 hr turbo off. 1 hr turbo change over to housing and set actuator. 1hour to put it back on. holes are cast in a different place to the stock gt. can modify the actuator bracket or get a universal actuator bracket or the turbo will be on a 15-20 degree angle. still works. still works fineGTX FTW[emoji106] Edited 29/12/14 12:41 PM29/12/14 12:41 PM by Bizkets is fat?
29/12/14 02:11 PM29/12/14 02:11 PM #6 If your wanting a comparable turbo to the precision..then you'd be looking at the gtx3582.76 not in the same league
29/12/14 10:02 PM29/12/14 10:02 PM #7 I don't get why the GTX3576 gets so much air time....like mentioned there are turbos that will spool the same but make allot more power.
29/12/14 11:15 PM29/12/14 11:15 PM #8 Maybe people like the 300-350 mark with more torque and dont want to much power breaking sh*t. Gtx holds up the top end where the standard gt falls over at 5000rpm. Also a option to go e85 and hit that 400rwkw mark for power cruise/drags/cruises. Stigmata got 446rwkw on e85 on a gtx76 so there is some potential out of the little turbo. When you get your car going karl ill pop down a.I.r and have a watch. Hopefully ill have mine down to.
