has anyone seen this new colour?? I was set on Phantom but I've always liked green. (Congo never took my fancy) it's been described as a darker version of British Racing Green (I'm a Jag fan from way back) so I'm very interested to find out more info.... Dave....
  3. well from what I can tell from all the specs I've read, you'd be better off just getting the standards and putting DBA cross-drilled and slotted discs and some bendex Ultimates (or better) pads on, that would stop as good if not better then premiums and cost almost 1/3 the price..... Dave.....
  4. really?? do you really think they are 3000 dollars better then the standards? Dave.
  5. sorry guy but I've read that article and there is no mention of premium brakes....I think you'll find they are the standard package.... Dave.
  6. I would never buy a red car....they fade really bad after about 12 months....and besides you have so many great colours to choice from it would be down right stupid to go for a boring colour like red, white or black. Dave.
  7. where do I sign?? so all he's done is chip mods?? and probabily an exhaust.... Dave.
  8. really??? so you have passed 230?? is police mode the one that gives them an extra 1 psi boost? Dave.
  9. sh*t hot, but what about warrentee??? Dave.
  10. well the decision is made....it's Phantom... thanx guys, Dave.
  11. you're a funny, funny man Dave.
  12. nah, mate you're completely normal. I get told the same thing!!! a freind of mine just read that over my shoulder and said "oh my god, that's you!!!" Dave.
  13. that's exactly my piont!!!!!! the only they plumb it back before the turbo is to keep quite. Dave.
  14. but it's not changing the pressure in front of the turbo....the blow off valve does help to keep the turbo spooled up, but venting the air in front of the turbo is not the reason for that it's the fact that there is no pressure left in intake track to be forced back on the turbo.... Dave.
  15. well I conversed with my step-dad who is also an Engineer and we decided that this shouldn't cause any running problems at all. The pressure is still releast into the atmophere, it just into the inlet track before the turbo, the ECU shouldn't have any idea what's going on that side of the turbo and it doesn't need to.....so inclusion the ECU wouldn't have any idea wheather the pressure is vented to the atomphere to the open air under the bonnet or wheather it was vented into the inlet track before turbo....in other words it would make no difference what so ever.... Dave. p.s they vent it into the inlet track to make it quiet, that the ONLY reason for it.

I have no idea, but I would be heading dealershipward ASAP!!!! all that stuff is covered under warrenty.... Dave.
  17. I'm a student, I do Mechanical Engineering. but I work part-time as a sunroof installer for Ultra cool Sunroofs and Trimming......so yes I may be able to get discounts on sunroofs......also they are the same sunroof as the Tickford (factory) fitted ones. we do quite alot of brand new fords, mainly Falcons.....the rest are brand new Alfas, BMWs, Audis (Mmmm nice!!), etc. the best perk of the job? you get to pick up and deliver the car you work on!!! well most of the time... Dave.

I reckon a change over to forged pistons wouldn't be too costly and get the stock rods pinshot and I-beamed with some decent bolts and we might just crack 650bhp but as it has been said in the topic earlier, the 'box will cope with an increase of power and torque but not DOUBLE!!! then there's the clutch, your gonna need big bickies for that.....I think with about 10-12psi on 98ron should give about 400-450bhp with a decent pipe, even with that you're going to start have clutch problems. For me personally I would want it to be all controled by the chip so it can be made removable for servicing, thus no damage to my warrentee, wishful thinking but it's possible.... Dave.

Fordfed, I have an EF manual with the standard 3.08 single spinner, a filter, extractors and 2 1/2 inch exhaust and an XR6 computer. now it makes 130rwkws BUT I can only just keep up with a stock Blown VT.....so you reckon that with a cam and a 3.45 LSD I should blow SS away??....My T doesn't arrive for ages so if can get the diff and cam cheap I'll do it to keep me happy for a while.... Dave.
  23. As the title suggests.... Dave.
