I found Alto ford at Artarmon good and Sinclair are good at Kingswood. You can try Winford at windsor but they dont like you taking XR6 Turbos for test drives but some people swear by them.

Not to sure how much they cost, but heard that Northmead Autos are very resonable and very good with the BTR 4 speed.

I have a Ford Dealer out at Windsor NSW that I went to as the wife and I were thinking about upgrading the BA MKII. We looked over a FG turbo liked it and asked to take it for a test drive and was told no, unless I was going to buy it that day. I said I need to test drive it to see how it goes, according to them they all go the same. It was the right colour wife wanted it but they missed out on a $33000 sale cause the turbo cannot be test driven!!!! So we are staying with the BA as I just cannot be bothered dealing with ford.

Hi Guys, I have a PW stage 1 intercooler to go into my BA next month when I get a tune. Wondering if anyone has bought a hotside piping kit that fits without having to modify the car or piping?

It was the starter new one installed all good thanks for the replies.

Definitly not the battery, tried booster pack, yes its in park. I think its a starter soleinod,its clicking had to become a member of nrma I'll get them out tomorrow arvo.

Stretch to as late a model as you can I got a 1 owner BA MKII last December low kays full service history, got a full inspection but stuff has still gone wrong valve springs and just yesterday starter motor. Im looking at going to a FG, BAs are getting a bit old.

Hi Guys, Here is the situation. Went out just before started the car and moved it out of the garage and turned it off to lock up the garage door got back in went to start it and it sort of half started and then when I tried again there was nothing, dash lights all light up but absolutely nothing no clicking nothing. Tried neutral still nothing it has a new battery 2 months old. Any ideas?????

Hey louiseanddanny are you using the 80lb injectors for the future upgrade to a E85 tune down the track? I might be better heading down the same path if that's the case.

I wont be getting mine done till mid september and I will be running 60lbs siemens injectors.

If possible let us know how the pump is. Ive got to buy some stuff off Rapid before my tune with CMS mid next month.

Im interested in this pump as well. Wanted to run a herrod due to them being quiet but have heard that they dont make them for the sedan anymore. Dont care about cost just want a quiet pump.

I know of 2 tuners in sydney that use the lpg plugs in the XR6T's and swear by them.

The lpg plugs are definitly 0.7 gap.

not a big fan of the ngks, just wanted to try the ford ones, I know a few sydney tuners use them and swear by them I might contact them for the part number.

Fraud are hopeless. I asked them today myself 3 dealers as well. Not one can tell me which one is gapped to .8 if any are gapped at .8. AGSP22Z11 they said is gapped at 1.1.

Hi Guys, Im chasing the part number for the factory ford plug for the f6 that is pre gapped to .8. Asked my local dealer today and was told they arent pre gapped to .8 only .9. I read somewhere here (searched and cant find it) that they come pre gapped .8, I may have it wrong.

I was in the same dilemma as you were 3 months ago, I went the process west as it is larger for not much more cash. I havent fitted it as yet as I haven't got around to doing the tune. A mate at work has a PW stage 1 with 310rwkw in a bf and he loses bugger all on dyno runs through heat soak and no probs with engine temps and he lives western sydney as well.

that's my concern,making sure all the little adjustments are right on. It will be getting intercooler, injectors and cat.

Its not about the money.. Its about getting a good safe tune for me. If it can be done in 30mins fine, just seemed to be very quick to custom tune a car.

I wish it was a $400 30min tune, it would cost $770 if I went with them. That sounds like a generic that will be touched up to me. He did say it could be longer but usually around 30mins and 4-6 runs.

Hi guys, Just a quick question how long does a custom tune take? Ive been told by a few different time frames by Sydney tuners. they range from 4-5 runs and 30mins, 4-5 hrs and 2 days. What are your experiences?

The more you want for trade the less they will move on the car. Just ask what the change over is and negotiate that not the price of the car or your trade.
