Not with CCTV around, besides that's an a**hole thing to do to the poor servo staff, I could never knowingly damage another person's stuff, it's not me, I feel guilty enough having to work on Managers PC's in their office when no-ones around. I'm more likely to stew over something or vent on forums where I can be reasonably anonymous However other members of my family are not like that, which is why I tend to be more careful about certain situations when they are around, in my book talking to someone about a situation and telling them politely why something isn't a good idea is my first choice everytime. One of them worked collections for a while, he does the talk first too but at 6 foot 4 and built like the proverbial brick dunny (plus he does kickboxing) people tend to listen.

I think the problem has solved itself. Took the phone in to the Police, lodged a lost & found report with the note about my report, where the phone was found etc. and got raised eyebrows & a few comments from the unsworn officer I was dealing with. Went to the Telstra shop with the photo of the SIM no. & IMEI on the back of the phone but they quite rightly said they can only update notes on a service or device with the owner present, due to privacy requirements (which I expected) then headed to the local library to print flyers with the photos of the phone, which station it is at & the Police report number. Whilst putting up the flyers a guy noticed them & said it was his one he had lost. So I told him how I found it, where I found it & how I thought it might be related to my car having bits pinched & how by lodging it the way I did, the Police might think it's related. He didn't say anything but I could see the light bulb go off. Guess what he drives? A little too coincidental considering it's an earlier model but also Lightning Strike.

It might not hurt now but it's probably going to itch like a mofo later. I've seen someone reach in to pick out a mobile that fell in a deep fryer - they were drunk and not thinking, just reacting - and it didn't look bad, just very pink shiny patches were the skin was but for weeks afterwards it was itching under the bandages he had on, which he says was the worst part.

Unfortunately I'm getting a little sick and tired of always fixing my car due to dip sh*ts. Not being able to drive for nearly 14 years - due to eyesight problems - makes me value certain things more, which most people take for granted. I've been here just over 9 years now and the last 12 months I've spent just over four thousand fixing damage that other I <3 Bananaswits have done. I don't touch other peoples stuff, because I like most people, respect other peoples property, Perth however seems to have an abundance of low life I <3 Bananaswits, maybe that's the meth and other drugs.

I would always use that as a last resort, I find name dropping is just as effective usually. The last thing a low level copper wants is extra aggravation from someone higher up that knows my uncle, the jobs not worth it as it is, they want general duties to be a jack of all trades, they don't get workers comp (although every so often their's rumors it's coming) and there's no real protection for a copper in the event some POS takes them to court, if they feel they've been unfairly treated. You tend to find a lot of Police officers put their homes etc. in the spouse's name these days (I actually work with the father of one of the officers involved in this incident (http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/wa-cops-guilty-of-lockup-tasering-assault-on-kevin-spratt-20140121-316tr.html as it is he was sent to prison soon after anyway http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/taser-victim-kevin-spratt-jailed-for-assaulting-wa-police-20140625-zslbe.html) my best friend was a cop for more than 6 years and he got out because there's no real protection for you, judges don't deal with some of the drugged up people that are near superhuman strength because their usual inhibitions are gone, you try to do the best thing at the time and even that can bite you badly depending on how the media or the persons lawyer paints the picture of what happened, I have a friend that's an ex-Police prosecutor that got out because the lawyers were starting to talk back to the judges. By name dropping, I'm just saying, I'm not trying to make your life difficult but just so you now, this is who I know. If I find something else has happened to my car in the next week or so afterwards, I can go back then (my dad mentioned my uncle's name when his work vehicle was broken into a few years back and a forensics team dusted the car within hours) or get the uncle to get them to dust for prints (when I reported the original incident I was told if there's no blood for DNA evidence they usually don't attend these incidents) they then might have have prints from the car and the details for the phone owner, so that's a lead, at least if they pay the person a visit, that's going to at least make them sh*t their pants and maybe re-think ever coming back again. I won't say any more, except that my uncle is not the only avenue I have for sorting out the problem, I have family members with contacts on both sides of the law.

Yep, If I don't get a call tonight, I'm going to print out a few copies of a note advising I found the phone (with the Police report for it), after I drop it into the local Police station with the Police report number for my incident and tell them why I think it might be the same person, most people they wouldn't give two hoots about, but when I drop my uncles name, they'll listen. He's a retired Assistant Police Commissioner and there are plenty of higher up's in the job he keeps in contact with, so that will put the wind up them not to slack off on this one.

I'm hoping I'm in luck finding the waste of space that took the badges & chrome trim off my car. Went to get in this morning & noticed this over the rear pasenger side door on the roof. Now considering last night there were 3 cars in the under cover parking & there were 5 empty spaces next to my car (and no one could park on the passenger side as it was a wall) plus it was the side that had not been pinched originally, I'm guessing it was either the thief or some good samaritan found it & my car was closest. I'm just waiting for it to ring to see if I can find out more about the owner. I've already got a few plans as to how to proceed.

So I decided to liven up the conversation in the kitchen at work and piped up with "What's wrong with kitchen's?" Of course I got heaps of weird looks, so I continued with "They are full of dirty dishes and clean women and you want it the other way around" I got just as many chuckles as "Dave you can't say that" but my staff know what I'm like

My journey to a empty bank acc and a divorce lol
The uncle's got a few places in Bullsbrook with nice long "driveways' with twisty bits that I can't help having a bit of fun on. Although last weekend I noticed the road surface is starting to go from mainly dark grey to lots of black bits for some reason and my car's tune isn't exactly impressive.

RACEWARS 2017
Booked the car in last week for next Friday with Malaga suspensions, just doing an alignment and safety check plus getting an idea on what besides Shockworks coilovers I might need to do. I don't intend to lower the car as I have two ramps I use all the time that the front already scrapes on with 19's and stock height. However I don't want to feel like my butt's sliding out of the seat every time I take a corner, hence the Shockworks, which everyone that has them raves about.

RACEWARS 2017
I should have a few bits of work done before now and then - by end of year I expect to have some future proofing work done with timing chain and guides, valve springs, oil pump gears and a few other odds and sods in the first round - and then hopefully the IC, turbo back exhaust, surge tank and turbo upgrade right before RW, if the stars align right and I don't get some stupid financial issue pop up I wasn't expecting. Otherwise I've been threatened with the ultimate insult by another forum member: "So you still saving up for mods. when do you foresee the mods being done, or do I call you PTR_NITRO #2 ?????"

Cost of getting two 350rwkw
Pricing doesn't seem to have changed since March last year, all up I paid just on $600 for installing the PWR, the ZF service pluis flush and replace the coolant. Can't remember what fluid he put into the ZF. http://www.monstatorque.com.au/performance-zf/service/

What Made You Feel Good Today
Heard a story from another staff member at lunch, apparently a customers first cheque on their home loan bounced (always a good sign) and when the arrears officer called him up about it his response was "What are you worried about, I have 30 years to pay it off".

RACEWARS 2017
Well it's confirmed I have March 1 - 8 off specifically for RW. I have 30 days leave up my sleeve and wanted to have plenty of time to stay over or get there earlier depending on who else is going and whether we want go cruise down together.

The What's Pi$$Ing You Off Thread
The building my last company moved to in Stirling, was one floor above a kidney dialysis centre. The smell was interesting to say the least, I do not want to know what was in the big bin around the back with "medical waste" on it.

I bought one last year for peace of mind and got the ZF tuned and a coolant flush at the same time. I hear a gurgle the first time I start the car or if it's been left a few hours during the day and that's it. I paid roughly $800 including the braided lines for it and had Monsta Torque here in Wait aWhile fit it all up, I would definitely recommend getting a service done (my car was around the 79,000 mark at the time) as I also noticed smoother shifting from the ZF and less "clunking" when it dropped down gears. I believe Fraud state the ZF's never need the fluid changed, hence why they are a sealed unit, but iirc most recommend a service every 100,000 K's.

Trend's worse, it just locks the machines up all the time and slows them down to a crawl. We tried uninstalling ti all from the console and half the machines still have it either fully installed or the service installed and no add/remove programs listing for it. Trend don't even have a manual uninstall method and all we keep getting told is "it's with the developers". The Security guy is alright, it's just the management we deal with are super paranoid, plus brand damage is a big concern for us.

We are all having a chuckle at the IT Security Officer this morning. His Trend Application Control (DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT, it's crap) is all screwed up and won't let him log in. Which we find funny because as part of his role, he's always coming up with things that need to be implemented, as good security practice and sometimes it does way more harm than good, for once he's seen this with his own eyes.
