  1. I met a client of my friends business that buys a new Evo every time they come out. He went on to tell me the Evo IX was two seconds a lap slower around Wakefield park than his Evo X. Fg XR6 turbo all the way, fantastic car for dollars spent.

    Coil Packs

That is robbery, check with another ford dealer.
  3. Has to be very finely balanced to. Less than 80 milligrams according to fords specs
  4. 2litre cosworth
  5. Your head should be repairable. I had a mates car drop a valve and it mashed the head up pretty good, similar to the photo you posted. He had it repaired and it worked perfectly. Afterwards you wouldn't have known it had dropped a valve. His was so so bad it cracked the bore in 4 places, so it was a new block unfortunately.
  6. Gtx4202 rated to max 1150hp Gtx4294 rated to max 950hp
  7. I am lucky to get 15k out of my rear tyres
  8. Thanks for that, will give them a try.
  9. Can someone recommend a company to pump my guards and roll the lips on my FG Sedan so I can fit bigger rubber in Sydney?
  10. I will try them out. Thanks
  11. Ditto on the Nitto Invo's, I have 245/35/19 and 295 rear wheel kilowatts and they grip really well wet and dry and they are quiet.
  12. What would be the best offset for the rear of a FG Sedan at standard Xr6 turbo height with a 19x10.5 wheel and a 295 tyre?
  13. Who is the shaft builder?
  14. I really need some help. I have a 2008 Fg XR6 turbo with a manual gearbox. I am going to have the car retuned with approx 420 rear wheel kilowatts. I went to Sydney driveline services to get a upgraded tail shaft and have had no joy. They have been excellent to deal with and have gone above and beyond any workshop I have ever dealt with. However they have built three shafts for the car and all of them have vibrated. Two were 2 piece shafts and one was a 1 piece shaft. The one piece shaft was the best of all. They spent the last two weeks with the car trying to fix it and have now refunded my money. However I still need a strengthened shaft, does any one have some advice? Surely I cannot be the first manual FG to run 600+ horsepower.
  15. I have used the original Dunlop sport maxx, bridgestone RE01, Falken FK452 and FK952 and Nitto Invo's. By far the best tyres so far in all wet grip, dry grip, longevity and quietness would have to go to the Nitto Invo's. Fantastic tyre from my experience. Followed closely by the Falken FK452 which is a bit noiser and almost as good in the wet. Pretty get price at $290 each at 245/35/19 fitted.
  16. 275mm is equivalent to 10.8 inches. Actual width of a rim advertised at 9.5 inches is actually 10.5 inches wide inside edge of lip to inside edge of lip. So a 275mm tyre fits perfectly on a 9.5 inch rim. A 245mm tyre is 9.6 inches wide. Hope that helps.
  17. Has anyone used the KPM control arms to allow the fitment of 11 inch wheels on a sedan? I would like to run a 305 wide tyre as a minimum under the rear of my FG, which is standard height. (more like a 335 wide on a 19 inch wheel.)
  18. Tried spacing the centre bearing to different heights and also tried rotating the flange. Nothing worked. Took the car to them, to see if they could fix it. They couldn't fix it either. So they are making me a new shaft.
  19. Decent tyres make a big difference too. I have had a really good experience with Nitto Invo's, they grip really well and last reasonably well for a performance tyre
  20. I want to run about 19psi. Sounds like the 12psi actuator is the way to go, I don't want the boost coming on too hard as the car is manual. I want some sort of traction.
  21. What PSI actuators are you guys using. I have both a 15psi and a 12psi. Which one should I use?
  22. Yeah the pinion yoke was changed to a 1350 uni and a flange. I will call my driveline guys and find out what I need to do.
  23. Need some help. I have just fitted an aftermarket upgraded tailshaft from sydney driveline services to my FG XR6 turbo. The original bolts that hold the tail shaft to the diff, that have the plastic weights could not be used as the uni joint is now too big for me to get the bolts in and the plastic weights. So I have used some socket head bolts instead. Now I get a bad vibration at 90km+ under acceleration and deceleration. Does the tail shaft now need dynamic balancing by Ford?
  24. The centre bearing on the FG is a pressed fit and you have to replace the uni and the centre bearing at the same time. This is what I was told by ford, the centre bearing and uni are $600 ish from memory, just fro the part. Hence I went with an upgraded tails haft with a replaceable centre bearing from a F150.
  25. Could some one post a pick of the hole that they cut under the passengers headlight to allow the cold side piping to fit please.
