The government will never increase speed limits, when they can make billions from booking speeding drivers. They brainwash the masses by guilting us into thinking we will save lives by booking people and reducing speed limits. It is a load of BS and they know it. There have been many well documented research programs which have sighted road condition and driver error as the major contributing factors in road fatality's. Neither of which the government can earn money from and which would cost them money. The answer to a reduction in our road toll is driver education (correct car control fundamentals) and good road surfaces. Unfortunately the media is in the governments pocket and no one will re-educate the masses about what is truly happening, that we are being booked for revenue raising and nothing else. If you do a bit of research, it has been scientifically proven that increased speed limits actually reduce road tolls by cutting travel times (reducing fatigue) and increasing driver awareness. I look forward to the day that we no longer live in nanny state and with the government no longer dictating every move or decision that we make.

From tuners I have spoken too and from a few articles I have read the Borg warner units are technically more advanced than Garrett units. They boost quicker and have less lag.

If you want awesome grip Toyo R888's or Kuhmo Ecsta's. They are very soft, give amazing grip but will only last 8000kms on average. I personally like the Falken FK452's which have really good grip and you get 20-25,000 depending on driving style. I would go for a well known tyre brand and get a high end sports tyre. I have heard that the continental sports tyres are superb.

Just wanting to know if anyone has had any experience with clutch failure on their FG XR6 Turbo. I am just wanting to know what sort of power and torque the standard clutch is capable of handling before failure. My engine is currently producing 295KW ATW and 650Nm atw. I want to increase the power up to 330Kw atw and 700 to 800Nm atw. Will the standard clutch be able to handle this amount of torque? Thanks in advance.

that's normal. My xr6t 2008 Fg does the same thing and so does my brothers and my mates. It is not a problem

I have a 275 on a 19x8 factory rim, which was fitted with a 245 previously. I have found the traction to be vastly improved over the 245 and I have no negative side affects, not even uneven wear.

I have had my car dynoed twice once at about 4000kms 234rwkw's and at 22000kms on the same dyno by the same operator on a 38 degree day at 250 rwkw's. They just make a lot more power than Ford claim. Fords generally understate and Expensive Daewoo just put numbers on the back of there cars for fun.
