  1. I have had my cars tuned by Uni group and have always been happy with there results. He is a very capable tuner. My cars always run like they came out of the factory that way.
  2. Disconnect battery for 10. Min
  3. Hope they were special brownies
  4. Try www.macarthurautoparts.com.au hope that helps you. And I would go for the fg model xr6 turbo motor. More compact inlet and it flows better.
  5. Turbines are the same. It is the compressor side that is different.

    Which Brake Pads

Bendix ultimate. Awesome pads. It will always be a compromise, good pads eat discs and make dust. They are only really a little squeaky when cold and on light pedal application.
  7. If the exhaust has only just gone on, it takes a couple of weeks for the exhaust to carbon up. I have a stainless x-force system that is exactly what you described and mine dies not drone at all now.
  8. Fg's run 3/4 length injectors. Dekkas will be to long.
  9. Clutch pedal is not adjustable. Might want to check your gearbox fluid level. Also fluid type, as these gearboxes are sensitive to the ATF fluid used.
  10. I did my last Wakefield park track day with slotted and drilled Dba 4000 and bendix ultimate. I got the brakes so hot they were smoking and the discs turned blue. The brakes never faded once and never warped.
  11. Mine got really noisy about 2 months before it stopped working and I had to replace it
  12. Won't make any difference
  13. Glad I don't live in North Korea, I mean Victoria. It is all about making money for the government. Speeding is a scape goat, so the can look like they are doing something to lower the road toll, but in reality it is to earn money. In fact if you look into the research, increased speed limits generally reduce road tolls on highways.
  14. You can do it on the car fairly easily. You need a hooked pick, a mechanics mirror and a torch. Very fiddly, but easy. Remove rear heat shield, use. Mirror and torch to locate circlip, that holds on actuator rod to wastegate flap and hook it and pull. Wind on a few threads and replace circlip. Easy. Just requires a bit of patience.
  15. They are very sensitive to imbalance, fords recommendation is that the imbalance should be under 80 milligrams.
  16. I had my tail shaft centre bearing cut out and a bf centre bearing put in, along with thick walled shafts. Including labour it was $1200. Just go to a tail shaft specialist. The bf centre bearings are replaceable
  17. I have used multiple tyres on my fg xr6t all $250+. My personnel favorite is the Nitto Invo. AmaIng tyre wet and dry and silent. I get over 30,000kms out of the front and 15,000km out of the rear. Car is making around 340 rear wheel kilowatts.
  18. He means shorten the actuator rod by tightening or winding on more threads. This increases the preload on the actuator.

    Breaking Bad

Awesome finish. Sad to see the end, to the best program on television.
  20. 100% of car accidents are caused by driver error. Better education of the driving public will save lives. Lowering speed limits does crap all. This has been proven statistically all over the world. Governments are only interested in filling there pockets, not road safety. They make us all focus on speeding as the issue, cause it gets them off the hook, in improving our roads and lots of other methods that would actually make a difference. If you think that speeding fines fund road infrastructure, that's a laugh. It goes to paying for their retirement funds.
  21. Driver education will save way more lives than lowering speed limits. Skid pan and car control should be mandatory.
  22. Just my two cents worth. I was considering the gtx3576 and the gtx3582. I ended up getting the gtx3582 and I am very happy with how responsive it is. I drive a manual fg xr6 turbo and there is no discernible difference between the gt3576 and the gtx3582 in lag. And it pulls like a train. I am making 345 rear wheel kilowatts at 3400 rpm.
  23. Got any Pictures?
  24. How did you do your external setup? Off the factory manifold? or off the turbine housing?
  25. I went to have my car tuned today. I have a GTX3582 with the waste gate ported by GCG and running a 12psi actuator. Straight feed from the compressor housing to the actuator and I was getting 22psi at 3400rpm. Has anyone else had this problem? Seems the waste gate cannot keep up with the flow of exhaust. The wastegate is cracking at 10psi.
