Sally could afford to pay someone to deliver the rum and have golf clubs stored at his local club if Sally could afford one of Mr. Enzo Ferraris' finest :o

Subaru and Porsche both use Flat/Boxer engines... These are all Subaru boxers. Both Alfa Romeo and VW have used boxers also in the past.

I could be wrong, but I think VW did a W8 aswell as the W16... Or was it W12 and W16? I dont know! :(

Also in a kind of reversal... V seems to be the more popular formation. I would of thought a company would have made a V4 by now... Subaru is kinda there, the V fell flat though

I would think the main reason is the lenth of such an engine... I have seen some old cars here at shows with straight 8's and they are mega long... however, perhaps a long nosed GT tourer would fit a straight 8?

  8. "Couldn't drive a sh*t cart on an abandoned airfield"
  9. Along with Saab and Buick, Alfa Romeo is also planning a Twin Turbo V6 for a model. The turbo will happen. I have no doubt... now can Expensive Daewoo price it right?

GREAT VIDEOS PETER!! Please keep them coming! I really cant believe this forum, whenever APS is mensioned it turns into the biggest bagging session. You all sound like a bunch of 80 yr women going to the supermarket on pension day to find the cost of something went up 2c. Get over it. Incase none of you noticed Peter passed a police car during the run around the block video.
  11. SRT-4 oil change Is this really how you do it? For those of you who dont know the SRT-4 is that little dodge neon on steroids. They are actually very quick in straight line and even easier to make faster. Unfortunatley people like this own them

They lost again!! Two games now. Even though they advance they wont win gold, they just are not good enough.
  13. eatV8 replied to Redhawk's topic in Off-Topic
Yeah that car is coming to Australia, but I dont know if they will offer more then the 340hp 5.7ltr HEMI in it... The 6.1 looks pretty good
  14. eatV8 replied to Redhawk's topic in Off-Topic
They don't a modern version (alloy block/heads etc) version of the Chrysler HEMI ?? Well, they certainly don't use twin cam Nissan RB26 DETT, Subura flat four Turbo, big block FE Series, or even Ford Semi Hemi 429 BOSS engines The modern dragster runs a large CID alloy block/alloy head version of a Chrysler HEMI. The cylinder heads may have twin plugs but the head has a hemispherical dome and the design is all modifications/refinement of the Chrysler HEMI engine. If they don't run HEMI's then what type of engine do they run. V8, hemispherical heads, pushrods, big cubes, big superchargers.......all sounds like HEMI to me Correct Mr.Plonky! Was about to write the same thing myself. Speaking of HEMI's Take a look!

I voted WRC, close second would have to be Formula 1
  16. Been posted twice already a month or so back...
  17. The same could have been said a few years back before the XR6 turbo come around. Would the Ford guys really go for a turbo with such a rich heritage of V8 and bathurst? Same applies to holdens, look how popular the VL turbo Late model camira is. As long as the performance is there, buyers will come.

  21. If he got your licence number wrong, couldn't you just not pay it? They will chase whoevers licence number that is?
  22. Hey guys, I'm over here in the states. If it helps with avoiding Johny Howard slapping his cut of tax on anything you buy from the USA as I could send stuff as private import or gift. I also have a few contacts here that could try source the parts needed at a good price. Not sure about rods and pistons etc for the BA since they would be a custom built piece since it isnt out here. Let me know I'm always floating around on this board, PM me or I am always on MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, AIM...
  23. Not sure about whats quicker, most likely the auto when mods come in to play, you can spool up the turbo in auto while stalling it up... Another thing I thought of is consistancy. The auto is alot easier to consistantly launch the same and put down consistant times.
  24. I'm currently the only 5'9" voter!
