Hey guys, one of my good friends in Brisbane just bought the new Ford Fiesta Zetec model in black (2 door) She loves here little car and asked me if I knew anywhere that could hook it up with lowering springs and an exhaust. For the exhaust, she just wants to be able to hear it. She doesnt want the loud farting noise you see hyundai's and mitsubishi's running around with. Something loud enought to hear but wont piss you off, know what I mean? well if anyone can recommend a shop etc in the Brisbane area it would be greatly appreciated.

What annoys me with Motor now is they continually babble crap during their storeys about where they went to lunch and what time they stopped for petrol... Has anyone else noticed how they hardly ever record 0-100 and ¼ times anymore except for big events like pcoty or bfyb? I still have my subscription to Motor as I want to keep upto date with whats happening in the Aussie car world while im here in the states, if I was still there I wouldnt be paying my $ for it.

Forester XT AUS spec (Click) has the same power as the US spec (Click) yet the aus site claims 6.4 secs (0-100km/h). What the? Both cars have about 155kw pushing 1425kg. Not sure about aussie spec XT's but rated power is about the same (within 5 kw's) but ppl that have dyno'd foresters to estimated 235-240 crank hp which is 175-179kw which could explain the times it pulls. I have seen on Subaru forums here in the usa people posting time slips in stock XT's running 13.8-14.0 so I think it is safe to say it wasnt a one off car subaru handed the magazine. Now back on which car would be better for you and your job, get the XR6T, it is larger and should be more comfortible on long highway drives then a XT or WRX.

here in the usa car and driver run a manual Subaru XT at 13.9@high 90 mph... I drove one and yeah they are quick!

OK, found the article, was in Motor Trend... My bad sorry, Auto only don't know why I thought I read manual... will be 6 speed auto built by ford to be used on RWD cars and GM is building the 6 speed for FWD cars... Both companies are sharing the FWD tranny only not the RWD.

I was reading in one of the American motoring mags (march issue, will try find which mag it was when I get a chance) that Ford and GM are in joint ventures in designing/building 6 speed manaul and auto gearboxes... Has anyone heard anything about this and whether they are boxes to hold high torque? I'm sure they mensioned something about Future Cobras and Z06 Vettes...

When the article is published and in the public domain we will have the article on our website so you wont missout, I promise The APS product is not far away for the USDM STI we have completed testing and engineering and I think you will be impressed with the base 500HP system. :o :o Peter APS Peter, You have me impatiently waiting now! 500hp!! I don't want to keep on about STi on the XR forums but it would be cool if you could post videos of the STi in the ¼mile etc like you have for the XR6. Peter, Have I missed it or have you not mensioned what magazine this speed test will be in? I would think they wouldn't care if you mensioned you were going to be in the next issue, kind of like free advertisment for them... I'm hoping it is "Motor" as I'm now living in the USA and is the only mag I get. Did anyone see issue 9 of SPEED(Oct-Nov 2003)? They features a HKS kitted Z33 Fairlady (350z) VQ35DE with a single HKS 3037 Turbocharger. 0.8bar of boost. HKS claimed power is 340kw and claimed 400m 12.2 seconds and 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds. The picture of the engine bay in the magazine looks very tidy...
