Yes we have done that for both BA and BF 'T's. In a spare slot we can give you back around 2- 3l/100km.

Every cell in the table is '0' that's from low rpm to high rpm from low load to high load. Effectively in stock form the camshafts are not moving independently

Lets get a couple of things straight here, the knock sensors are completely active and work in both BA and BF model Falcons. Turning anything like knock control off completely is never something I would recommend with these cars. They are my thoughts, others might think and do different. There is also nothing inherently 'profound' about the operation of the BF and its ability to adhere to tighter emission limits. Just a combination of variable cam settings, fuel control and ignition timing at light load. There closed loop or adaptive control is very little changed from that found in the BA, just some of the calibration information is different. There is no magical self learning the resets the vehicle to standard, just a table of adaptive cells that can be individually adjusted as to rate and amount by the tuner. We simply provide a toolbox for tuners to use in their access and calibration of the PCM. What the tuner then does with that is up to them. If you have any questions regarding settings or what is likely to be operational in your program it would be best to ask your chosen tuner. All we can do is give them the ability to change every parameter.

BF engine tuning software development is finished. The transmission calibration is a whole different kettle of fish due to the ZF six speed being non-similar to anything in the US. I would expect that by January we will have total control of the six speed functions. As it is stall converters and the like are already good to go. And yes, your BA Flash Tuner will work on your BF!

You would think so, but in the BF XR6T instance someone, somewhere has intentionally chosen to leave cam control 'dual'. The normally aspirated cars are a different story with the exhaust cam being retarded further than the inlet at high rpm.

Sorry to do a 'Mythbusters' on you dudes, but all the BF programs are now in the CAPA database, and we have done plenty of testing. No problems. Theres some real interesting things in there too....like the independent cam control for turbo cars, it exists all right in the form of a separate exhaust camshaft retard map.....which is full of '0's from the factory. In other words they have it...and dont use it. Plenty of gains for the smart tuners there. 50rwkw out of a BF 'T' with a tune? No probs!

I do believe Dave from KPM who originally posted here is making reference to all the new exciting features in the DATABASE rather than anything inherent in the Advantage.exe user interface Nick. And make no mistake about it the database upgrades are as significant as they are effective. Its great to see some of the truly excellent results coming in from tuners all around the country using the latest Aussie database upgrades which we consider is a great payback for the 100s of hours invested in reverse engineering the Aussie cars. Keep up the good work guys!

Wipdaddy, if this is the case then there is a simple fix. To rectify this you would need to read the processor code off the side of your engine management computer located in the engine bay. Its a four digit code on the little white sticker (the one with the bar code) and in the case of a 'T' would have something like A3YA, A3GC or similar on it in little letters. It would seem that you have a base software mismatch occurring which is affecting the cruise control, which can by quite easily fixed with a reflash of the Flasher unit itself. So, give us a complete description of your car I.e. 03 XR6 T manual and then the processor code, and I will personally look into it for you

We have injector Scalars to use with the CAPA Flasher for the 42lb Racetronix, so no problem there for anyone that wants to use them. Go for it and enjoy the savings.

There are in fact many differences between Advantage 2.9 and 3.0. From a tuning point of view though the latest Advantage 2.9 database will be simply ported across in the new format. The greatest benefit with 3.0 is the live update feature which allows the switched on tuner to update their database at the click of a button on the Internet

While the executable software Advantage 2.9 is retained until the Advantage 3.0 release, the database has had some major upgrades which gives the professional tuner access to a wide number of new options. Extended auto transmission control, full coverage of boost control parameters, and comprehensive VCT mapping are just a few of the upgrades. This is an extremely comprehensive overhaul of the original release and addresses every single one of our requests.

BF is fine. Any Edit tuner in Australia worth their salt will be at the training seminar in Melbourne this weekend, so contact your tuner for all the info on Monday.

Yeah, well we havent found the 300rwkw on stock injectors and fuel pressure switch in the software for you yet Nick.....but im sure its impossible

Dont want to make a point of this Adam...but all of the tables in version 2.90 of the Advantage software did work and we proved it earlier this week.
