  1. We were looking at buying a Ford Escape over the weekend. Tried three dealers. I stood peering in one for 15 minutes no one came and helped. I spoke to one guy and he was: "We only get a few of those and the Territory is much better". Well it should be as its in a different class! No one offered a drive nor even offered a brochure. All too bloody busy - reading the paper at 4PM on a Saturday..... good one boys - you lost a sale! I gave up and went and bought a Mazda Trubute. Did the deal in 15 mins, delivery on Wednsday morning. most helpful! Well I tried..........the arrogance of BA sales and Territory will catch up with them........ Its still a Ford sort of....
  2. Now every one knows! This is Subarus secret WRC weapon. Their pace notes are beamed to via GPS!

  8. Hey enough with the quote, quote and quote in posts. Another quote and we have a gallon! If you want to say something then say it with reposting quote after quote. Its impossible to read.

Conversely I was screwed by the Tax office. Spent 5 years and countless thousands fighting a case I should never had to fight. I dont have any opportunity to tell every one how I was treated. Ray Martin could make a story and half out of it. The Tax Office is like any other business and it can recover tax better than anyone. They constantly recover tax from people who dont even owe it. If you think the Tax Office should be protecting our interests as Taxpayaers then God help us. They dont even know the rules let alone follow them.
  11. I tell ya, I would'nt buy a Titan shed if I was in a tsunami and they were the last builders left on the planet..... I also usually like Crompton, but Sunday he was a bit out fo control with cliches like " Hes into 100% throttle now" talk about pad out the talking with garbage! Most of his waffle this weekend was great stuff for "Captain Obvious" on MMM. Its Ok, I ll let that one go..... go Bondy....
  12. Whilst we were all in fornt of the telly today, channel 10 managed to miss many "moments" Again this is due to commercial breaks, Not only are we subjected to inane advertising that has turned me off for ever on Shannons, titan etc, at 4:40 they went to an ad break with 6 laps top go in the wet, came back with 4 laps to go the race finished, then we went to an ad! When the coverage retuned we were back at lap 29! Never saw the pesentation! Well done, and no apology. Its OK, "We will let this one go" bit like Bondy and the boys up in the control tower.... Might have been aanother NZ stuff up!
  13. This was a fantastic result. Sounded like dynosteves car a year ago at Redcliffe. BTW If something had let go, the guy with his head in the engine bay would have been toast.
  14. I have heard there is going to be a blitz on this by the boys in Blue in QLD. They wil make heaps out of Late model camira drivers...

Welcome to the M club. You will love your car, start saving for the V10...... I am! My accountant gets his V10 M5 in 6 weeks..... Dallas
  16. I had mine replaced under warranty a few times. Its caused by heat. They expand and contract differently to the alloy. They tried the "They have been stolen" trick until they test drove the car and as they got out , two fell on the road in front of thier eyes. BTW I was told they were $75 each.......Torque Ford Do the metal GT ones fit?
  17. Just remember if you had a prang with tyres like that your Insurance company would ditch you like a hot potato.... Be sensible and replace your tyres whan they are at the correct wear indicators. Having watched someone cut out of a car two weeks ago, because the lost control on bald tyres, its not that funny........
  18. Lumpy: 600 people is the key. You have store traffic but no sales. People like lookign at your prioucts but they dont buy anything. I may suggest: Rather than try to sel them glass let them look at it for a fee e.g tourist attraction. Even if you had only charged $1 then you would have $600. Recently I was shopping on the Gold Coast. I went past an art shop. Could'nt get to go in with out a "donation" of $2. I still went in and looked around. It might be worth a move to a tourist type area. Montville on the Glass house mountains springs to mind. Those places do well. Small businerss is hard mate and when you have a specialist product then its harder. Try also contacting the TV shows . they like unusual businesses. good luck....
  19. swearing in posts guys - not on regardless of the thread. Dont do it and I wont have to delete the words. Keep it nice. We have kids and girls who view this site...... and I hate people who say "like" e.g , "like" I was standing there and "like" this Ocean liner just "like" came from nowahere and hit my front guard!
  20. There on thin ice with this one. IMO just have 2 flash cards. Rotate them regualry and hide the other one down your daks. When this sort of crap going to stop? Move around a lot at the game. Just because you have a big lens dosnt make you a pro. You only have to see most of the shots ine paper to prove that......
  21. If you cant get the case open you wil ned a Data Chisel. They are available from Jaycar Eelctronics. They are kept behind the counter. Just ask the Salesman for one.
  22. fair enough. what colour are you after? D
  23. "Street Racing is not condoned by this Forum. I suggest you take your racing exploits to the track where they belong. Have you got any idea what would happen to you if you were caught?

I know a 17 year old whos had his licence for a month. He had a prang in a park the other day at 40 KPH and hit a tree with three others in the car. He is going to be chareged by the police with "drving with undue care and attention". All passengers were not hurt. He broke his leg. Has anybody got any ideas on what the penalties could be? QLD by the way. cheers Dallas
  25. As a motorsport competitor for over 20 years, handling for me every time. In the old days LA lancer rally cars could beat the Datsuns with double the horsepower because they handled. I have a 27km handling course that I use to check the handling and performance of cars. Heres the times over the last 5 years. WRX 155KW = 16:08 dry BMW 523i 125KW =15:03 dry Xr6T 240KW = 15:25 dry BA NA 195KW = 16:11 dry Mazda 2 95KW = 17:05 dry BMW M5 300KW =13:01 damp! BMW M3 257KW =13:21 dry VY SS 250KW = 15:41 dry Pajero 140KW = 18:25 dry So I have tried many cars over the same piece of road. The most impressive was the 523i and the Mazda 2. So for me handling is the go. Cheers Dallas
