  1. We have gone in a totally different direction with the fuel that is going to fill the veins of the Ute. Let’s just say 4 fuel pumps are in need.... Not that far away now !!!
  2. Few more goodies to complement the T51r package.... Roo 16 has been ordered...
  3. that's the go Mate !! MODS ??
  4. Yea, all holding together really well with a new tailshaft with bigger again uni's installed last week due to the other showing some wear. Got the stall tightened by 200 rmp by Dominello's due to when the new Turbo package went on there was a heap for flare in 3rd. All good now and will be OK for when it gets turned up. PW Plenum and rocket cover installed yesterday. Full Fuel System on the way Very soon (Hanging out big time for this), only item holding it back.. Roo 16 ordered.
  5. Mate give your car the loving it needs and go and see Dave !!! He has tuned my over 10 times now due to mods and have never looked back, Have had it tuned by others before and their tunes were only half what Dave did, just do it Mate.
  6. Hi Mate, was down from Airlie Beach visiting Kev @ Process West picking up some more gear, on the way down did the winter Nats @ willow bank too. The Ute has a Dominello Turbo 400 with 3000 stall and the turbo package is off my tuners race car, Blueboost. Good little hit on the green with that right hand turn...
  7. Put the Ute on a mates truck down to Brissy to see the Winter nats and then was down visiting Kev at Process West picking up some gear then heading to Dural for some work on the Turbo 400. Wollongong is my old home town with some tuff cars getting around, IBOO57 Looking the part too.
  8. Hope it all works the way it should.
  9. Having the 3000 stall works very well with when the Turbs is on full song. The boost rev range has been reduced slightly but it's really worth it.
  10. O.K. O.K. on the Plenum you got me, LOL - A PW one will be installed before tuning along with a beanie which was ordered last week. On the 3" piping and Airbox install we had to do a bit of cutting with a air hacksaw. In the second photo you can see how it runs under the fuse box. After this it hugs the plastic wheel arch thing and does a 90 turn into the cooler. There are 4 joiners including the 1 on the cooler.
  11. Not making a point with the standard Plenum and as said before will change over to a PW Plenum when the time is right.
  12. Running 19" 305 Nitto Invo's on my Ute and loving them. Highly recommend these if you can get them. From the heap of other that as been on this Ute and others nothing comes near them. Have not tryed the Toyo R888.
  13. A mate (Dus12) has a Ute similar and it Dyno'd 540 with the standard plenum. So of the time being we will leave this but if found to be holding it back a PW plenum will be installed. All the completed mods should/will support what the goal is, I have full confidence in my tunner Blueboost, Dave.
  14. Location is sweet and was easy to install. Would be at least 50mm to tower and bonnet 40mm. Have also seen some high mounts real close. Whats the low mount like ?? Some pics for you.
  15. This package on Dave's Car got to 600 atw with the head studs starting to lift. Should see low to mid 600 when the fuel system goes in on mine. At 530 will should see a 9 second run on the Ute. We didn't want to change anything on this proven package, a screamer might of been a little loud, the Ute is also a daily driver. CPV is going of a 8 second pass in about a month or so still have a little work to go, he has done a heap of other mods to get his beast there. As Dave said the Gen Tech Boys will get a little lonely being the only ones in this bracket and we can not have that !!
  16. Last week we installed a new Turbo Package to the Ute. Thought a little write up might help people in what direction they could go in if in the market for an upgrade and chasing 500+ atw or a 9 second beast. This package has come out of another XR6T which has run low 9's and had 600+ atw. So what's been installed. * Garrett T51r rated to 1000+hp on happy juice. Hot side of Turbs coated. They come in lots of different configurations and went the midsized to keep it's street ability. Comes on full boost @ 3400rmp using a Turbo 400 box and 3000 stally. * 6 Boost high mount manifold which as been coated. * 60mm Tial external waste gate. * Custom Process West Air box and 3" Hot side piping. * Custom 4" Dump and 60mm? gate pipe. * Braided Oil/Water lines. A heat guard is being built for the hot side and the dump is off to get coated like the rest. 1200cc Injectors and new fuel system are going in soon so we have not turned it up over 450 as yet but compared to a high flowed GT 35/40 turbs this package rocks. The push out of this package is so different to the standard setup which use to just fry tyres (Nitto semi's as streets) Might sound funny but It is like a large hand is behind the Ute pushing it along at a fair rate of knots, and LOVING IT !!! There is a little more lag but with the 3000 stall it is hardly noticeable. Have not experienced a T04z in one of our cars but have been told they are great for the street but if chasing strong times on the track can run out of legs.... Thanks Dave and Mick for making this transition easy and giving the right advise once again. Love the package and drives so well on the street !!!
  17. Did a full wright up on the T400 install, Love the Hurst but watch the cable, a few tricks.
  18. If you mean the stardard figures being the BTR box the Ute only got Dyno'd once with the street tune and the T400, same make of Dyno (Mainline) but a different one. KW's were down by 10 (3% or so) and Nm up 8% but this T400 has had a heap of work done to it making it more efficient. Have yet to run the T400 down the strip, when the Fuel System goes in timing will be on our side with the cold weather up here. When the T400 went in the Ute felt at least 20% quicker and this was backed up by using a GTech Pro RR on a mates runway. Stall on the BTR was 2400 and T400 has a 3000. Hope this answers your question mate...
  19. Got a Best of mid 11's @ Townsville with a 1.8 - 60 foot with around 400 atw (Street Trim) and if you know this track on average you take around a second off your overall time due to the poor condition. Many friends have proven this down @ Mackay. Not long after running @ Townsville the T400 went in.
  20. Kent Wait till the Diff Gears are sorted... What do you think she will run then, 9.5 pass ??
  21. We have been doing some work on the Ute to push her into the next round. * T51r package in with the fuel system not far off holding her back to 451rwks. New turbs has a nice push about it, heaps less wheel spin. * T400/3000 Stall and Hurst Shifter, Check. * Rear suspension tweaked to get the ponies down to the ground. * GT Bar/Doof Doof Audio/FPV Wheel and the FG Flip Keys are sooo good.
  22. T400 with 3000 Custom Stall Built By Dominello's - Very efficient box - better that a BTR...Since installing the Ute feels 30% quicker it's only been in a few days so have not done any time trials on the track but using a G-Tech much better times. There is a guy on Fle-Bay (Joe) building C4 and T400's rated to 1000hp for 5.5 K all up. Spoke to him but have no feedback on his boxes. Looked at the jatco RE4R03A..Like it hey ??
  23. Straughsberry yes no overdrive and the final gear being 1:1, there is ways around this being a Gear Vender or change the Diff Gears but I do Not agree on the parasitic part if you are meaning sucking power, read the reviews and comparing the BTR and the T400 yes the T400 is about 4% more loss but the proof is in the driving, the Stall has some factors too but the Ute is a ANIMAL now, feels 30% stronger and quicker but the test will be when she hits the strip !! The other major factor after being let down 6 times is reliability !! Mate I DID want a 4 spd (that's why we gave it 6 trys on the built BRT) and only found 1 guy that would warrant 700 hp 4l65e but that is where I am now and she is going to be turned up more so not wanting to be on the limit went the T400, we have already talked about that but got a lot of negative feedback on the 4 spd box and the builder. Hope it works for you Mate, I really do !! Keep Us All Posted.
  24. Mate I hear you, went through 3 Factory shafts with some under warranty but ford charge $2200 for the complete Tail Shaft. The CV's are rubbish and when you really start putting some power into them the tube will twist. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THE FACTORY SHAFT !! As suggested go with Uni's - Putting over 1600 Nm's through this new shaft on a Hard Shifting Turbo 400 Box and not a problem, when we were designing this shaft we basically made it good to 2500 HP. On Driveline and weak links if your Box and Shaft are sorted the next to go will be the Diff, watch for the axle tubes coming out and breaking the factory welds.
