  1. You got a big enough wheel barrow to carry them in You're a legend. I'll give you a buzz..
  2. Hello all, Due to unforseen circumstances, the phantom XR6 that was to do my brothers wedding is unable to attend. Is there anybody, with a phantom XR6 or XR6T willing to help out, in Canberra this Saturday. Please PM me if anybody can help out. crossed fingers....

I wonder which car is better balanced. The T obviously. Everybody knows that Nissan made the biggest design mistake of all time by making the GTi-R the most front heavy unbalanced piece of crap. Absolute design mistake. It's a pitty really, because the mechanics are trully remarkable.
  4. What can I say. I watched the video of this focus and my jaw literally dropped. Then I go into fits of hysterical laughter. This car is fricken awesome. Imagine rocking upto a set of lights in this. Other drivers look around to see where it's coming from... Just awesome.
  5. I have been looking at one of those wheels too mate. How much did you pay for yours if you don't mind me asking? Also whats it like playing GT3 with a wheel? Way more realistic or not that great? I also played GP Legends until my wheel broke, what a game, I remember flying around the Nurburgring in the Ferrari sideways, in the air, man what a track. As soon as I read that GT4 will have the full 'Ring I got excited. Imagine pounding round there in a XR6 Turbo with a stage 4 turbo kit! (If any Aussie cars are in GT4 - I can't see it happening unfortunately..) When playing older games, the wheel only goes 180 degrees. Currently GT4 is the only game I know of on the PS2 that supports the 2.5 turns lock to lock. On the PC side, Need For Speed Underground supports the wheel, but unfortunatly the drivers for it are lagging in the PC end of it all (may have changed, since I haven't checked for a driver update recently). Basically if the game (and drivers, on the PC) support 2.5 lock to lock it'll work, but if they don't support it, the wheel automatically reverts to normal 180 degrees. As far as feel goes, I am quite impressed by the wheel. Feels way better than the previous GT wheel. It's even better than the Thrustmaster FFB Ferrari racing wheel I've had for quite a while. Nothing beats playing racing games on a wheel. Takes some practice to get used to, but after a while a wheel in any racing game improves it 10 fold. As far as price goes, I think I paid $299 for it a few months ago.

The new pads are missing about 1cm on each side, so the old ones would of felt better. I got the new ones, and let me say they squeal like buggery. Yep, they still squeal, but not as bad as the previous pads IMO. Or maybe I got so used to the squeal, that now my brain blocks it out.
  7. I've actually got the 2.5 turn lock to lock GT wheel designed for GT4. Used the wheel with the GT4 Prologue (GT4 prequal) and it's not a bad peice of kit. Looking forward to GT4 though. December is the expected release date.

My brother goes for the Bulldogs. I'm a Rabbitohs supporter myself. So I'll go the Roosters. I think they;'ll do it for fitler. But then again if the doggies play a near perfect game the roosters won't have a chance. Go the Roosters.
  9. Hello all, I just read about the new Playstation 2 that will be available on 26th October. It isn't the Playstation 3 that some of us are waiting for. It's a new version of the current Playstation 2's. It'll have an inbuilt modem and an ethernet port as standard. Oh and get this. It'll be about quarter of the size of the current PS2's. That'd be an awesome kit for the car It'd fit practically anywhere and I'm looking forward to it. No price available ATM.

I find the premo brakes quite impressive. Even with a full car of people, the car pulls up impressively well. I have recently had new pads put on the front of my T. They are apparently the new "non squeal" ones. I don't know if it's me, but the original premo pads seemed to have felt that little bit better. Could be my imagination. However, I have heard that the new premo pads that are used shorten the lifespan of the rotors. Dunno if this is true though. But as far as standard Vs Premium brakes, go the Premiums. You won't be disappointed.
  11. Mine hovers at around 11 o'clock on ther guage aswell. Hit's halfway on very hot days with a bit of full throttle action, but doesn't go past. However I have seen it at more than half way after having the car turned off then a few minutes later, turned of again. But this has happened very very rarely. Usually on very hot days. No starting problems to speak off here.

I just got a 5hp yamaha motor for my mixer (I am a brickie you know). If it was 1000hp it would make a mean mix of mortar, before eventually getting into orbit.
  13. It'll be exactly 12 months on Sunday. 31,500km clocked so far. No real dramas, although I am getting a vibration on accelleration with a full car of people and now noticing it slightly when driving alone. Will get that sorted in the next week or so defenitly.
  14. About time Ford australia decided to introduce some weight reduction into the new falcons

main difference. Celeron only for office apps etc (games generally hat thm). Pentiums for everything and more. I myself only use AMD processors. An Athlon XP 3000+ in Krashsmonster, a 2400+ in krashsbeast and most recently an athlon XP-M 2600+ in my laptop, KrashsLTdemon.

Nah, I don't work in the city. Just doing network engineering part time at Reid CIT, a few nights a week. As far as people waving to me on the road, I am pretty much oblivious to the whole thing.

Oh, muckup days.. I missed my year 10 muckup day, because I went overseas a few days before. Year 12 muckup day was kind of interesting. Toilet paper everywhere. Our own Burn Out comp in the school car park (the speed hump still bares the scars to this day). The ol' XF I drove flew the Ford banner Water bombs was another. Oh and there was one classroom on the second story that was right against Lake Ginninderra. Well, half the furniture finished in the lake. Hmm.. what else. Was also some shaving cream bombs aswell.. funny as.. The other stuff was just a blur. This may be off topic, but anybody experience any "initiations" when going to a new school. When I went to High School, there was a year 7 Vs Year 10 fight. We were apparently the first year 7's, ever, to kick the year 10 arses (had some big boys in year 7, ACT reps in Rugby league and Union). From memory I think that was the last year of the "new year brawl".

When I hear the first chime (at 80km range)I usually fillup with maybe 50-60km left on the range. Although last week, the DTE was down to 5km. I was practically sh*tting myself. Not wanting to be the goose that came up short.
  20. Probably like your current avatar If you want a fright, drive around canberra at night. So many bloody kangaroos (thanks to the greenie not allowing the maintaining of firetrails etc and the fire of Jan 2003 ofcourse). Last stat I heard was that about 1000 kangaroos die on ACT roads in a year. Dunno how truthful that is but on one 20km drive I did encounter about 20 dead roos by the side of the road. Anyways, miss_aly, good thing you missed the cow. I'm sure it left a nice pile of on the road for some unsuspecting Expensive Daewoo driver to run over
  21. What I'd complain about is the riding clutch in that car in the add. Seems to change so many gears at higher revs and it's going like a slug.. Oh and how fake is the 'vroom" in it.. If that doctor recons that car in that add is going fast, then so is my dad's mazda truck. The incar view easily shows that the car is going at the speed limit and not over.. Clearly a sign of some wannabe trying to make a name for himself. Bloody do gooders doing bad to the rest of us. I hate holdens, but I recon the ad is ok. My first impression was "boy, they'll sell a lot of cars with this one".
  22. Lighning strike is a more youthful looking version of Merc Silver If they had lightning strike when I bought my blood orange T, I may have chosen it.
  23. Hello all, Just wondering whether there are any blueprint BA XR6's (T or NA) willing to help out with my brothers wedding on Saturday 2nd October. I've got all the other colours and then some but a blueprint is needed. The bride chose her dress and the bridesmaide dresses to match the car colours (White, Phantom, Red, Blueprint) and all I need is 1 blueprint. Unfortunatly the blueprint that was going to do it, had a BBQ, D'oh. PM me for more details if any blueprints in and around Canberra are interested. KrasH

When it was time for me to buy my first car, I was waiting to see how the AU would look. I hated the look and bought a Nissan Pulsar SSS instead. I was then into buy a new car mod, and I was looking into buying an R34 Skyline GT-T. I was litterally weeks away from getting the importer I chose to get the car in. I then saw an article about the new Turbo coming out with the new BA. I then decied to wait, saved extra money and now I own one Couldn't be happier. A very good choice in my opinion. Will I buy a ford in the future. Will depend on what is available in a few years.

Those flashlight mod's suck. When playing multiplayer, if the other person doesn't have the mod the game won't work.. The best technique is to map the flashlight to the right mouse button. I've found it extremely usable this way. Allows be to use my beloved Chaingun, Rocket launcher and the recently acquired BFG 9000;) I've almost finished the game.. I'm a few levels past hell and I am in the caverns. In regards to the "same" look of the game at the beginning, the further you go the more things change. I especially gasped in awe when I finally took the monorail. Amazing scenary. Oh and that massive guardian/devil in hell is fricken awesome. Let's just say that the more blood you see, the closer to hell you are Oh and I can't believe the detail. When you first start the game, in the canteen you can play the turkey punching game. Now just past hell, I pick up a PDA and read the email. It then refers to the "cool new turkey punching game.. check it out". Bloody hillerious. Oh and the message about the incorrectly sent supply of chainsaws.. haha Great game, wish I had more timne to play it. But I recon I'll be finished in a few hours of play.
