Racing an XR6 Turbo

Hi guys, I know most will take the piss outta me and diss me for this post, but I had to say it.

I am a ford man and always have been, always will be. But I couldn't afford an XR6 turbo, so 3 weeks ago I got myself a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R. Now since my uncle owns a ford dealership, I know how awsome the xr6 and 8's are, but ford really should open the potential of this beast , not just FPV with the Typhoon.

The reason I say this is because my mate his an XR6 turbo, and we both decided to drag them out to see what was what. We both thought it would be close. BUT after two runs where I totally smashed him (his words not mine)by 1.5 - 2 car lenghts (hard to say from the winning seat) we both agreed that he should have 300kw, and we both know that his car is more than capable of using this power.

Yes I still own a crappy jap car, which is old and unsophisticated, but I guess I will have to be happy with it till both I get some more money, and ford builds a fast car. A car we all know they can and should make.

Let the dissing begin :spoton:

it's no secret Ford strangled the T, loads more potential there to be unleashed.

I think we all know that ford has starved the T of power as not to show up the fpv range, think about it a 6 cylinder car 20 odd grand less and it makes mince meat of their performance range.

that's why people do their after market modifications to unleash its full potential

So true Stardust. Neither myself or Paul (the poor XR6 victim) thought I would do him like I did. Considering mine is standard apart from a pod filter.

One of these days ford will wake up to them :spoton: selves and make a car that WE FORD FANS have been asking for, for years.

Look how long its taken them to put some decent mags on there range. that's the only part of the HSV range that I envied. :siihp:

I guess thinking about it, alot of the problem is the goodie twoshoes who say they are too fast. But they need to start to please the fans and not the critics.

Guess that could be too much to hope for huh

what do you expect them gti-r are like little gtr's they are weapons great cars

in standard form the xr6t is a little boring

you mod you gti-r I dont think you will find any xr6t around that will beat you, you have alot of advantages in that car the weight, 4wd and the nissan engines are tuff as where the xr6t has alot of let downs

good luck and the people that bag you dont know what they are talking about so dont worry what they say :spoton:
