Back to the SS? that's it, the XR has a Expensive Daewoo driver detector. I would clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner first to get rid of the rough idle. Then back to fraud to find why its dying. How can a dodgy coil pack cause this symptom? I am not saying it can't I am genuinely asking.

Methinks Ford needs to pull out the centre console and replace it or more likely send it to Melbourne for repairs. Its not your throttle but a computer problem. This can cause the guard mode to cut in and funnily enough give false codes.

Did the coil packs show any signs of wear and did u put the platinums back in?

Could b a sensor, fuel filter etc etc etc. Get the codes.

Can u b more specific? Describe what u mean by throttle interuption problem.

For those who don't know when you download and instal Google Earth and go to an address, you can now click on the camera symbols and look at an actual view of your house from street level. First thing you do is laugh at the guy for paying that much for a Holden. Does anyone actually know how much faster than an F6 this thing is cause my friend from "cough cough" HSV reckons its not much quicker than the GTS. As for the claimed power remember these are Late model camira kilowatts. The rated power figure is for the same engine in the USA not on aussie fuel.

We pay $400 PA to insure our XR6T with CGU. My wife pranged it big time last year. Bill was $14000.00. CGU paid up no probs except they wanted to choose the repairer but we won in the end.

Sorry if this is being discussed in another thread but I am wondering what the SR version of the Territory Turbo will be. If its inline with the FG then won't it match the F6X for performance?

It's a hard choice. I think the FG is the better car, the BF is older technology, but the FG XR6T looks plain compared to the FPV stuff.

Dont listen to hard to motoring journo's reviews. The F6 is a lot more car than the XR6T in desirability, handling, resale value and performance. In fact according to the motoring sites and mags including Wheels extensive testing, the FG G6ETurbo is faster than the XR6T despite being slightly heavier, and in fact it is faster if you just put your foot down and time it. In reality off the lights the XR6T will eat the G6ET simply because the G6E does not have an LSD. Damned acronyms. I think you will have trouble trying to stay with the F6 in an XR6T.
