  1. My engine has every component upgraded though so it makes more power than most which means that I get more turning force on the crank for a given amount of fuel compared to a stock one which has numerous restrictions in place.
  2. Nah it wont, ive done a fair few tanks like this now. I literally get over 700klm per tank every tank averaging 9.8L/100
  3. Well as a few of you would know I put some stock injectors back into my ute along with the 4 spd auto. It is now making 313rwkw but check out the fuel economy I am getting (see pic), pretty amazing I think. Is anyone else getting figures like these?
  4. No they are never dead quiet. You will know it when the bearings go because it will be instantly noticable that it is making extra noise. I recommend everyone get familiar with the sound the turbo makes after shut down so you can easily identify a blown bearing as soon as it starts.
  5. Lucky you. There is no rpm signal wire on an xr6t engine, you must buy a signal conversion box from www.shiftkits.com and wire it into the CAS wire, it will then convert the CAS signal to a regular rpm output signal which the eboost will read.

have you removed the screw in the face of the hat?
  7. if it is the grommet loose it will also be associated with excessive engine noise.
  8. Forget how long it spins for when you spin it by hand. Just pay attention to the noise it makes when you shut the engine off, you will know when its on its way out by the rough sound it makes.
  9. are they custom strut mounts to give more lift?
  10. You would think not but that is the first logical thing to check.
  11. I think you may have reconnected the hoses to the boost solenoid the wrong way, swap them over and report back.
  12. no it sounds worse
  13. Your turbo is on the wrong side

I have cores available for $1250
  15. Here is my version of what an xr6t engine bay should look like.
  16. flash it back to stock and then search the forums for "generic tune" or similar and read all the horror stories of people blowing engines due to running generic tunes.

All ford engine bays have a light dusting of colour. You will find that the colour of your car is painted over a black base and the colour sprayed over the top is not enough to cover the black.
  18. There is one Typhoon listed in the entrants list. Where is the competition? http://www.sportcompact.net.au/jamboree/entrantlist/

  21. I have 2 large magnaflow 3.5" mufflers and they keep it 100% drone free. The best ones have an offset inlet and outlet to absorb more of the noise.
  22. that's cause x-force mufflers are sh*t. You can get much better quality mufflers but they are obviously dearer.
  23. Could be detonation, it has a habbit of showing its head when you apply throttle in a high gear. Get it checked asap.
  24. Get crow valve springs, they are made in Australia unlike that other mob you mentioned who import from china.
