hi all,

I've been to a few exhaust shops and have got 2 quotes and would love to hear what people think. both of the workshops ive been to have very good reps and have worked on the xr6 turbos before. except when I ask what they think of the other workshops system, they say its rubish.

Quote 1

4" dump pipe

metallic cat

3" single system with

2 Jun B.L Mufflers

mild steel

$2400

Quote 2

3.5" Dump

3.5" Xforce Cat

twin 2.5" System with

2 Mufflers

not sure what brand but I'd assume Xforce.

mild steel

$1600

Now the shop quoting me th single 3" system says twin 2.5" is strange and not a good idea.

and the shop quoting me the twin system says 3'' is sh*t. go for the twin or atleast a 3.5" single.

What do you think

Ive been told the xforce mufflers are sh*t, the junB.L. mufflers are pretty impressive lookin

Has any one used jun BL?

hope that makes sense

Cheers :hohum:

3" is to small for the T, twin 2.5" or 3.5" single is the way to go and 4"once you start looking for big power

Never heard of Jun BL.

The second place is right though. 3" single is no good. Dual 2.5" or 3.5" single is better. For a sedan go with the dual 2.5".

Dual 2.5" is certainly not strange. Have a look at your stock system and what do you see? Dual setup.

XForce is a proven product but the fitment can be a bit hit and miss. They'll sort that out when they fit it though. I'd get stainless steel.

thanks that I'm gonna go the twin system, only the mufflers and cat will be x-force the piping will be custom bent by the shop so fitment shouldn't be a problem.

why do you say go the stainless also?

nothing wrong with the full xforce 4in dump 3.5 system but yea when fitting some things have to be bent to fit everything in nice, but in the end it will get there

because stainless will last longer. Personally I usually go mild as I dont keep the car long enough to worry about longevity of an exhaust.
