I used a 28x10.5" slick with standard height suspension.
  2. yes you can get either to fit on either car and yes the fg one has a smaller compressor wheel
  3. ETM replied to rhys86's topic in Wheels and Tyres
Yeah so would I, you really dont think 28's are that big but they are
  4. ETM replied to rhys86's topic in Wheels and Tyres
also remember that at 150mph your slick will actually grow by approx 1.5"

you will not fit a 30 unless the car is sitting as high as mt fuji and even then I reckon it would foul on front and back of the wheel arch.
  6. dunno just woke up at 4 and figured I would start early lol.
  7. I will find out mate, considering Ross is sponsoring my new race car I think I may be able to get some kits at a good price.
  8. Ross make them. http://www.rossperformanceparts.com/timing...ve_systems.html
  9. I reckon it is the throttle opening and closing, maybe a torque limiting factor put into your tune by the tuner
  10. There will be some serious zf testing going on soon with a customers car, it will have more power than any other zf equipped car that I know of by a long shot so it will be interesting to see what happens there.
  11. I am not familiar with the software I think the only thing you will need changed is the duty cycle of the wastegate solenoid to keep the boost where you want it. Pm headsex and ask him as he knows what is what with that stuff.
  12. $850 is a very good price for that job and imo you will be wasting your money on the tune if you dont have the wastegate ported as a minimum.
  13. yeah the battery light came on
  14. There was no indication at all, it just died on me. Fine one minute gone the next
  15. Well I just pulled out from work to go home and noticed I had no power steering. I turned back and found that I had not only dropped the belt but the tensioner pulley had seized and literally melted off the bearing. Having quite a few spare motors I wasn't that worried but to my horror as I pulled each tensioner from the spare engines I discovered that they were mostly shagged. One was alright out of three so it is on now but I would recommend everyone check the pulley before it costs someone bigtime, 2 weeks ago I did a run from syd to melb and back in a day so I am glad it never happened then or I would probably still be on the side of the hume lol. See pic of melted pulley.
  16. you are a retard

If you removed both pcv lines it shouldnt be oil unless it is coming through or around a piston lol.

  20. I will get some of those clamps in next week.
  21. Sounds like the signal from the map sensor has been reversed somehow. Was there any cutting of wires involved? Do you have the old harness that you can use to cross reference the signals?
  22. I dont think you need to remove the steering wheel to replace the wiper control arm.
  23. ETM replied to quick xr6's topic in General Tech
nah wont kill it lol, you may just get some extra crankcase pressure, keep an eye on your dipstick and check the level of the oil in the can
  24. ETM replied to quick xr6's topic in General Tech
Well that type of can is designed to completely replace the pcv system which can lead to higher crankcase pressures. To fit it the way that can is designed run both rocker cover fittings to the catch can and block off the fitting at the inlet manifold and also the one at the turbo inlet pipe. IMO it is not an ideal system but you dont really have a choice when using that can.

Does the catch can have an air filter on it? Also how many fittings does it have on it
