Yeah if the hose falls off that replicates a normally closed valve with no electrical signal so it will overboost badly.

He is talking about the solenoid valve though not the actual wastegate valve. It may be either but I suspect as a safety measure it would be to set it normally open as if the electrical signal was to fail it would cause a massive spike if it was normally closed.

if not bypass the solenoid all together with a new line direct from turbo to the wastegate

Because the wastegate is electronically controlled via the wastegate solenoid which has a pre loaded program which was set with the restrictive exhaust and high backpressure. Once you change the environment that the wastegate solenoid has been programmed to work in the values that are needed to control boost all go out the window and must be reset . The only way to reset the values is by trial and error on the dyno with a flash tune.

It only has the 180 degree bend directly off the cooler, you have to cut the stock rubber pipe and join it to the new 180 degree bend provided. Also the instructions are rubbish, throw them away as soon as you open the box.

There is nothing wrong with the 4 spd unless you want to go drag racing and even then the 6 spd is only good for another 100rwkw and it spends most of ts life in between gears anyway. The hardtops are great for security and you can put bigger stuff in the back with the hard top as it is relaitvely happy sitting up high as long as it is even. I actually made 2 wooden props for my hardlid to keep it level when I need it to sit up high. Mine gets 580klm to a full tank of city driving with the 4 spd and got 500klm per tank when I had the 2 spd powerglide fitted which was a low 10 second package. Buy one you will love it.

There is no reason why you could not get it to fit like that on a bf but you do have to cut to get it up that high, It wont go any higher than that though.

So 26rwkw was "gained" simply by placing the intake temp probe in a warmer location. This is the very reason why dyno figures hold little water in the eyes of most serious racers. Only kids in bedrooms take them as gospel. Well done Bogan.

looks like you did a good job on that one The stock rods are sh*t even the so called "big" rods. They dont look different to me to the stock ones but I have not weighed them. Btw I have .7 comp cover kits in stock, pm me if you are after one and I will help you out.

I keep getting spam emails from john china trying to flog off those fake brembo copies and they are asking around $800 a set and they look exactly the same as the ones in the link above. I wouldnt fit them to my worst enemies car. Put a chinese turbo and manifold on your car and it will blow up yeah but you will come cruising to a halt and get a tow truck home, put chinese brakes on your car and you may not come home at all.

I just took my ute to perisher and I took a pair of spare 17" wheels that if needed I would put on with the chains. I did not need to use them though.

from the description given it does not sound like the turbo bearings have failed, can you possibly get a video of it happening?
