I've used C16 which also contains lead. I changed my cat for a cat pipe but left the plugs alone and had no dramas. The only reason I removed the cat was to stop it melting. With C16 we were able to take my car from 330rwkw's with 98ron fuel to 380rwkw's with the C16. Geea.
  3. For your $2k of mods I'd suggest a 2ndCAI with better filter, centre muffer removal, better cat, and a HPF custom edit tune. You'll need to look at the trans aswell. If it's auto you'll need a trans cooler and if manual a better clutch. This will give you a tune that will be at the limit of the injectors and a good starting point for any future mods. When doing any mods it's important to plan ahead and not do mods that you'll have to redo latter. After you've had your T modded you will have the bug and more than likely do further mods in the future. The next step would be injectors and fuel pump. After this look at valve springs and an intercooler. Being in Melbourne you have two of the country's best tuners at your disposal, HPF and Nizpro. I'd give both a ring and see what they suggest. If you'd like to see what a HPF car goes like get in touch with me and I'll take you for a spin. Geea.
  4. Give Dave @ Kewish a ring on 0397932220, he'll be able to give you an I dea on price and what sort of cooler you'll need. He'll also be able to tell you the best place to put it. I noticed you're in Canberra so get in touch with Dannopower or MS700 and they'll be able to tell you the best places to get it done there. Geea.
  5. Yes. Geea.
  6. Nice toy. It's a bitch you cant make it. Geea.

Stock boost is actually around 4.5psi. It may peak a little higher. If you try and turn up the boost the car will go into limp mode. Geea.
  8. that's a bitch, hope you get it sorted soon. Geea.

I was having a chat today with a well respected auto shop owner. He told me the story of a bloke with a "T", (possibly from here), that had his auto repair knocked back. Not by Ford but by ION, manufacturer of the 4spd auto. Apparently ION are watching sites like ours and knocking back warrenty jobs based on what they read. I don't condone modding your car and then decieving Ford or others. With my current car I haven't tried to get any driveline part fixed under warrenty due to the mods I have. I'm concerned however for people that have relatively minor mods that may get knocked back. I'd suggest to be aware of this when posting about issues before they have been rectified. Geea.
  14. Nooooooooooo, another inductee to the incident book no doubt <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jewels, it sounds like your abit concerned. No need to be I'm sure Jeff will still be able to spend some quiet time alone with you. Who will be bringing the vegemite and who's bringing the marg. Geea.
  15. Great stuff Jack, enjoy. Like others have said the car will now demand more respect. Be very aware especially in the wet. Geea.
  16. Lawsy, my car has run an 11.1@125 with pump fuel and in full street trim. My Michelins are a very good tyre and I still reckon that at a set of lights on a dry road I would be able to win. The thing with lights is I can still get my car loaded whilst we wait for it to change. I can't load past 2000rpm as it will spin on most roads, so it doesn't take much to load it. If we both mash the brake and then the gas that should do for me. The other thing your not considering is the drivers. How many of the people with these cars can actually drive them? I know I can drive mine. Like I said earlier, if you're able to organise 1 in Melbourne somewhere I'll give them a few runs. Geea.

Good stuff. Do she have a name? Kids are the best, everything else comes a distant second. Geea.
  18. Best way to solve the arguement is for someone to grab a Lambo and line me up at a set of lights. Geea.

    TIGERS Geea.
  20. I think there is more to it than just the switch on the clutch. Possibly load and torque settings. Hopefully Martin or someone else with a better understanding of the edit could shed a little light on this. Geea.

Are you planning on taking to Willowbank? With 300rwkw's that should see you in the 11's. Geea.
  22. Hi and 1) I'll guess that you have a manual. If you're driving flat out in a stock car around 5000rpm would be a good change point. 2) The consensus is that changing to a good quality filter will slightly help performance. 3) Go to a good exhaust shop and get them to repalce the centre muffler section with either twin straight through pipes or hotdogs. 4) I'd run more than 34psi probably closer to 40psi but go to a reputable tyre dealer and get their advice. Geea.
  23. To race at Calder in a stock T all you'll need is a helmet, long pants/sleeves and proper shoes. The car will pass. Make sure you have no loose objects. Geea.
  24. Yes, but remember the car is a 6spd auto, and temps have finally dropped over here.. took there time though. I don't think we've seen graphs or timeslips of this car??? Not saying it didn't run the times, so don't go there. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How does your post help this topic. The bloke from Sydney, complained about his car and it's performance. Someone else posted about edit only cars having run 12's. He asked for more info about such cars. Simon has such cars and probably has the information. The 6spd may help alittle. If I was synical I'd think you were trying to discredit Simon, fortunately I'm not. Geea.
