He told me the story of a bloke with a "T", (possibly from here), that had his auto repair knocked back. Not by Ford but by ION, manufacturer of the 4spd auto. Apparently ION are watching sites like ours and knocking back warrenty jobs based on what they read.I don't condone modding your car and then decieving Ford or others. With my current car I haven't tried to get any driveline part fixed under warrenty due to the mods I have. I'm concerned however for people that have relatively minor mods that may get knocked back.I'd suggest to be aware of this when posting about issues before they have been rectified. Geea.

I recently heard the same thing, from the same bloke.From another source, I had also heard that ION are asking to have a look at all failures - Ford are not to make their own decision on these any more.

I have one small issue that I will speak to ford about... but that was documented before I started mods and the same problem still persists.... so that is the only thing I will ask them about... the rest will be up to me and I accept that

Has anyone had any drama's with built parts on their cars failing and if you have what was the result?Jack

I've had mixed results - mostly good.FIST have always been great - bent over backwards to help even when the problems weren't their doing.Nizpro came to the party when I needed them to.The mob that did my convertor - helped a little but nowhere near as much as I'd have liked - it was less than 1 month out of warranty and cost me the convertor re-build plus a tranny oil pump There are suppliers that gaurantee their offerings to a certain power level - that's one of the reasons why I went to Kewish for the auto re-build.

Posted 31/03/06 11:50 AM Posted 31/03/06 11:50 AM This was turtle33 he stated on here that he drove the car hard and because of that they knock him back.He had the box sent to melbourne to be rebiult after they knock him back on warrenty.Ian
