Just looking for some advice purchased a 2010 G6e turbo 2 months ago have recently heard a knock / clunk noise coming from the rear end only on take off ( sometimes) just one knock it's not continuous any idea on the possibility of issue.

does it happen when you go on and off the throttle?

 

it sounds like the rear differential support bushings.

Not always mainly when I'm taking off from a complete stop.

Flogged out diff bushes maybe, the rear ends are pretty clunky. First thing I noticed when I bought mine. Just get a suspension place to look at it Gemma.

Could be many rear end components. Get it checked out by a suspension workshop.
