Installation vid - looks easy and reversable.

I saw another vid with an F6 with guages - view didn't seem too bad

I must say I'm interested but can't for the life of me understand why they didn't shrink the screen a little. If they went to all the effort of integrating and reverse engineering the cars CAN network, why would they not do something simple like making sure asthetically, it looks nice?!

Also, branding the device under the screen looks pox...

Yeah, I'd be looking at putting a wrap on the surround I think.

Big screen works ok for me I think but would like to see one in the wild.

That looks pretty great! Only downfall I see is the lack of 5.1 rca out, or at least 4.1...that seems silly.

Not a fan of the branding on it or the lack of 5.1 outputs.

Will be looking into some kind of sound upgrade soon so it's a bummer but the fact that it's a "factory" looking/compatible upgrade has sold me.

There maybe an option to extract up to 8 channel audio via USB.

Its still progress. Use the left and right preouts into a processor - then convert to whatever you want.

Are you guys wanting 5.1 for music or movies on the screen? Cant picture watching a movie in the car?

I still rate the guy - that he could come up with a workable solution when all others failed.

Ditto - I'll be putting my hand up for one once the funds recover from my latest trip.

V8's on the screen via Foxtel app while parked at the track at P.I. :D

This is such a great solution.  I've been chatting to the guy on his FB site.  Excellent responses from him.  I only have three concerns:

  1. the screen is too big.  There is no need to have it that big.  it sits too high and too far forward. It will make my gauges look sh*t.
  2. it appears that to get it to fit the factory reversing camera and phone mic, you have to cut into it (I could be wrong), that part is no plug and play if using the OEM stuff, see my attached pic
  3. It would be great if it had an internal sim

otherwise it seems perfect

maybe topend audio could make a new gauge plate to jack my gauges up an inch??

Mine arrived yesterday.
Did a dumb and didn't push the rear socket in properly. So I only got it going today.
If anyone gets one you really need to lean into it to get it to seat properly.
Asides from that it's a little fiddly to get it to sit right. They have just put some new videos up saying to redrill the factory side brackets. This is to allow some clearance for the power socket at the rear of the cd player.

Pics not great and it's not bolted in yet but seems pretty decent so far.

My stock one was like that. I thought I had plugged it in but had to go back and plug the fark out of it.

Hey did you see Miles Kennedy and Slash do that acoustic rendition of sweet child of mine?

Hoping they sus out how to patch into the factory Bluetooth mic, the aftermarket ones don't look great.

Be keen to get some shots and your thoughts of it whilst driving around during the day. It's such a pity it's just a touch too big. Not saying I won't buy one, I just think it would look nicer!

Went for a cruise this arvo.
So you have to key it on before the Kayhan ICC works, no probs.
Factory you didn't but meh.

It connects to phones wifi & Bluetooth etc but when you start the car it restarts so has to reboot once your getting out the driveway.

Asides from that it's pretty responsive, would not compare it to a late tablet for speed or screen quality but a bit upgrade from stock that's for sure.

Sound seems to need a few more digits to seem loud but putting system in soonish so not fussed.

Also yes it plays the prons.

So generally happy with the unit?

Does it look decent or stick out like a sore thumb?

Tried any playstore apps?

Something you'd recommend?

Did you get the apple/android integration with it?

Yes, screen visibility isn't great with sun on it.

Looks average

Tried any playstore apps?
Yes, works like a normal tablet

Something you'd recommend?
 Yes

Did you get the apple/android integration with it?
Yes, don't bother. They supply an add on dongle that plugs into the USB cable. The unit already has 2 USB cables, I'm sure that eBay would have a cheaper one.

You can use a different launcher aswell, the stock one is a disgrace.
I'm using "car launcher AGAMA" which is pretty good, very customisable.

Have a look on facebook - he put up some pics with top guages. Doesnt look like it obscures the view.

I have ordered one. My guages are on the steering column though, so not worried about visibility.

This ad popped up when I was looking at this thread.  It reminded me of how my gauges would look if I installed this

that is what I worry about it looks like u can see them but only just. Might have to 3D my own custom gauge holder/raiser. How do you find peckys performance? we are moving to Darwin next year.

raising the gauges is probably a decent solution.  it only needs to be 15-20mm.

Yeah Pecky's are ok.   He is a little conservative on the tunes so don't expect big numbers but they will be safe.
