Just joined the club! 

 

BAII 6 speed manual ute.

 

Took the car the Matt at Dark Horse Performance in Midvale,

Went in pretty much stock except for car already had monza cooler and pulled just over 210kw at treds.

 

got some xpurt 1000cc injectors

Crow valve springs and retainers

100cell high flow cat

Walbro Fuel pump

12pound actuator and tune

 

Went to 313rwkw and an absolute pleasure to drive!

 

Anyone need any work done in perth id highly recommend Dark Horse Performance.

 

Now for a bit of fun at the track tomorrow...

Whats the fuel consumption average at on a day without flogging? Doesnt seem like much work for a ~100kwatw gain, could see myself being happy with the same number without losing out too much on usage

Not wrong, I have a Whipple supercharged BA GT on 8 psi with 17000 dollars of mods, and only getting 330 rwkw. (I mentioned in an earlier post it was a BF, turns out its a BA ) Mine averages 24 litres per 100 km. On a highway it's only 12 litres per 100. That's with a couple of short squirts per day. What are you guys averaging in your turbos. Not that I am complaining about fuel usage, its what one would expect with a modded v8.

Fuel Econ is really good. getting average 12l- 13l per 100. that's a good mix of taking it down the strip, daily commute and highway. Its better than it was prior to the having any works done.

 

Get around 550 - 600k per tank

Ah that's fantastic, definitely not scared fuel cost wise now for when it comes time for more power

you just need to make sure your chosen tuner takes care of the "low load" (e.g. cruising stoich) scenario's and then you'll have a more fuel efficient car than when it was stock, if you use those "low load" scenario's a reasonable percentage of the time.

Haha that's a big if.

 

You can burn a full tank of fuel in a few hours if you try to. 

 

But a turbo 6 is good on fuel otherwise.
