Yeah nah I reckon you guys are on the money. Oil cooler fails, dumps hot oil into the cooling system, temp goes up, op shuts it down and shows us a lovely pic of the coolant filled with oil. Op didn't mention if he had an oil pressure warning but he did say that there was no oil on the dipstick when he shut it down. If there was no, very low or intermittent oil pressure then it is possible that some coolant got into the motor via the oil cooler. Depending on how hot it got it there could be head sealing issues after repairs are made, if it is the oil cooler. If it's the coffee maker I guess he'll have to file for divorce.
