I like the idea but cost puts me off. $500usd for the QSV then add a Twinscroll housing $700 -$900??) then a control system for the valve.

Yeh most definetly the cost is higher but there is a guy in Adelaide that is making the spool valve a lot cheaper then the ones from the US but once you add a rear housing should be less then $400 for the housing you also need to put a external gate off the manifold before the turbo entry. Cost will add up more but it's an option that works well.

Also lol at the gtx + 100 shot edit. You actual read my mind Ive been setting up my ecu to control some spray on my car for when my 3788r maxes out flow haha. My plan is to see if I can get my stock bottom end sohc to make 750+hp without putting rods on the floor.

I've looked into N20 a couple of times, it would be fairly simple to drive off my eboost 2, I'm just not up to speed on tuning with it and what changes I would need to make to make the car live on it and what effects this would have when not running it.

Not ruling it out tho!

Wet shot would be required in your case because you won't have the ability to add fuel with the stock ecu when the gas comes on. Would probably need a second tune that you put in just when you have the bottle on to pull the required timing out of it. I'll be keeping my AFR the same 12.0 with the gas and then just pulling a couple of degrees of timing till its happy.

A few of my mates are playing with it ATM to get there cars to come on boost quicker because rb30 and 2jz lag machine with gtx47 size turbo they just use there ecu (haltech) to spray when the parameters are met rpm, tps and map. Logging it says it only sprays for 1second which means there bottle last years.

Wet shot would be quiet easy, otherwise fuel can be added via IAT Compensation.

Edit I spose the same could apply to timing come to think of it.

Yeh could use a switched resitor in line to chance to higher then normal use air temp value then use them higher value to do your compensation when the bottle is on and your arming is switched.

So that valve blocks one scroll on the turbine housing effectively making a smaller housing. Does that not block exhaust gases in the manifold from 3 cylinders? That cant be a good thing?

Not if you have a single scroll exhaust housing

A blocked off twin scroll on a twin scroll housing wouldnt work well at all

I still dont get it. Isnt that picture of the quick spool valve showing the valve across one scroll? Or is there a T3 version? I cant see how it would work on a single scroll housing. Wouldnt it just cause engine backpressure and heat, and limit turbine flow and cause more lag?
