your turbo and manifold bolts really should be checked as part of any servicing

Are both turbo and manifold bolts supposed to be torqued to same amount? Do you happen to know that figure off the top of your head ratter?

27nm for exhaust.

20nm for manifold and use a medium strength thread-lock.

16nm for the 2 piece B series inlet manifold top section to lower.

Is that all? Wtf...thought it would have been tighter than that

So for FG the dump to turbo bolts are 27nm and exhaust manifold 20nm.

Why do you have to tighten manifold bolts I have never heard the need to do this on any car except Falcon.

Is it inlet manifold or exhaust, the service manual only mentions intake.

Fg is inlet only (I have found fg exhuast bolts loose though)

B series is both according to the manual

all good everybody, mechanic put the wrong oil in. (good oil but car just didn't like it) back to its normal self again
