I haven't had a chance to fit them yet! Car was in the panel shop, then I was busy screwing an engine together and now the cars gone back into the panel shop for a couple of fix up jobs so they are still sitting on my office floor!

I had the Whitelines installed last week (replacing the flogged out standard ones) and the 'knock' I was getting over a few of the bumps where I live hasn't been heard since.

I have Koni red shocks with ssl springs on the rear and I do now notice that the ride is a little bit firmer -- I notice these things coz bad back -- but easy to live with.

Should also add the whilst the cradle was out last year to install the LSD, those bushes were replaced with standard Ford ones.

Had a quick look at mine this arvo with car on the ground so bit hard to get a good look. However, the bolts are sitting close to the bottom and I could fit my finger in the open void at the top. Didn't feel torn but I'm thinking they've sagged a bit.

I'm wondering if anyone has noticed an increased ride height with new bushes? I've blamed my SSL springs but maybe this isn't helping either.

I've just done the whole rear end on mine and when my car came off the hoist, it definitely sat higher in the rear. I figured it just hasn't settled yet after coming off the hoist, but I went for a drive for a while, came back, parked the car, checked on it afterwards and still the same.

I did take off my towbar at the same time, so I'm wondering if this has something to do with it, although I doubt it as a towbar doesn't weigh much. I'm gonna check it in the morning and see if it's changed at all.

Did you tighten all the bushes when the control arms were at full droop? This can bind the bushes and cause the car to sit higher in some cases.

Also, a tow bar can make around 10mm difference in ride height since they sit so far back

Hey Pat!

Nah, the bushes were tightened under load (whilst the car was on the hoist, I simply placed a transmission jack under each hub and began to lift until the car started to lift). Sounds like it might have been the towbar then.

Really annoying, as I had a new circlip groove cut into my front shocks to raise them 10mm higher to make up for the difference in height to the rear, now the rear has bumped up around 10mm as well so the height difference is still there (and rear looks crap).

Hub to guard at rear is now around 345mm with SSSL springs! Any way to get around this? I currently have no spare wheel in my boot though, got one sitting in my garage just need to get a tyre on it. The wheel is a 19" FPV rim. If I put this in the boot, will the ride height at the back drop at all? I'd just like to get it back to what it was previously (around 335mm).

The bolt on my left side was 'almost' at the bottom of the Blade and when it came out, it was a right mess..........sorry I didn't get a pic to show

Right was OK but replaced anyway Bomber.

When it comes to ride height, if mine IS different from what it was - it is verrrrry minor. Don't forget though Bomber, I have a HD Towbar on mine.

Oh and while the guy was under it, I had him cut the bump stops ---- forgot to mention that before.
