Bp98 Vs Caltex 98

Hi again,

Tried searching for an answer on here but can't seem to find the right answer.

XR was tuned on bp98 but accidentally filled with caltex 98.

Question is even though the RON rating is the same should I run tank near empty (staying off boost) and stick with bp98?

Very similar fuels. Besides, unless it had an absurd tune that was so knife edge, the ecu will tune around it. I personally don't like shell but I know if I put that in it'd be ok too. e10? well not sure. Deff not 91's though. f*ck no

Up to you but I'd prob take it a little easier. Its always best to run what ever it was tuned on. I'm with Fifty though, BP > Shell

Doubt it'd hurt anything but yeah I'd run it down and get back to BP. I prefer Ultimate even in my older cars and my turbo.

Since when has caltex 98 been better than shell 98?

Been running the shell for over a year now :/

Stock tune if that makes a difference?

I think people get different results in different areas of Aus.

I use BP Ultimate and Shell Vortex interchangeably. Fly Buys and 4c off at Shell helps a tiny bit.

In Perth besides shell most 98 is BP

Any idea on Puma? One has opened in Mundaring which could be convenient. I'm scared though...sounds like Peak/Gull
