xr6tForMe Legacy Donating Member 317 Member For: 13y 2m 24d Gender: Male Posted 08/10/14 09:32 PM Posted 08/10/14 09:32 PM Because the Barra is known to have harmonics due to its 10 foot long crankshaft (give or take a foot or three) and long stroke, if the 'cells' are not sweated together perfectly the transmitted vibration from the engine causes an internal rupture..If the problem involves vibrations from the engine, would a different mounting system (to isolate the vibrations) be a good idea for those with the standard cooler?

Not sure if the unit taken off had been replaced before but didn't look too bad on the outside.

Replaced with new factory item. Has less than 5,000 on new one. 1

Maybe cause they are made in Germany I would think.Nevertheless came across these.
