  1. Hey Steve got a few questions for you regarding your bump stops... Searched a bit on the forum but thought you might be having the same issue. With the original height of those stops was the rear suspension banging and hitting jars over bumps? Did cutting them to a shorter height help and where did you get the new shorter white ones from ? Cheers mate!
  2. Another thought I had was the bump stops making the noise? Are they meant to be quite close to the cradle itself or should they have a bit of room between? Replaced the Ford original ones a few months ago with just replacement ones (keeping the same measurements) but should I try shorter ones? Only change to rear suspension is a set of rear Shockworks non-adjustable shocks whilst retaining the same height with standard XR6 springs.
  3. Thanks mate, glad to know that the cradles can be used across different models without any issues. Here is a picture of the main diff bushing.. bolt in the center. Looks to have the metal plate over it and the bushing insert to make it a bit stronger? So the FG cradles only got weaker !!? What a joke ! Wish I had the money to play around with kit Steve got, saw it awhile back and looks great ! Always keeping an eye on your build there Steve to see what's next ! Next thing to do is get it up on stand or hoist and check to see any other suspension issues. Perhaps the the two smaller diff bushings??
  4. Hi guys, Does anyone know if there is a difference between the rear cradle of a BA and BF? I've noticed recently the rear end of my BF mkII makes a bit of noise, especially over speed humps and inclines. Had a look under the rear last night and noticed written in blue marker on the cradle "BA". Never noticed this before and not sure if the complete cradle has been replaced at some point in time. Should I be looking for any signs that a part is not fitted or seated correctly? Cheers
  5. Thanks for the response mate, do you have a picture of it on the car? Cheers
  6. I was thinking about doing the ECU when I saw yours but does yours have a cover on it already ? It looks smoother. Just also noticed you have the manifold heat shield painted black, very sleek !
  7. Hey guys... anyone used those universal front bumper lips aka ez lip?? Here are some I found on ebay... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291349832134?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/161078114788?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I'm interested to see if anyone has them fitted or had any experience with them, not sure how well it would look on the ford?
  8. Inspired by GeGe6 decided to plastidip the coolant bottle....
  9. Finally got a wheel alignment and balance, then found out the front two tyres had bald spots so decided to try out the Kuhmo KU39 245/40/18 tyres... so far so good.
  10. Nothing much has been happening lately but now with some free time it's installing the head unit and rear sway bar links... This morning thinking that this should only be an hour n half job which it is turned out to get a bit annoying at points. Taking the console surrounds out was easy and so was a lot of the other things such as running the wires to the fused panel and head unit. It became an issue when we tried to push the head unit and fascia back into the tissue box area, I'm not sure if it was just my circumstance or the brackets were the wrong way around but they fowled at the back near a foot well vent. So took a little off the brackets to make that fit and then fiddled with the wires at the back to make sure it all cleared. Also placed the bluetooth mic near the driver side tweeter and ran the wire under the dash mat and pushed the remaining cord behind the side of the icc. Then came the point where the unit was about 80% back in and connected up... so turned it on which worked but all the sound was coming out very muddy and sounded like the sub wasn't working... Came inside and did a search while having lunch and couldn't find any common errors. Then went back to the car and played with as many settings as I could with nothing really working. Then the old man saw in the headunit manual and option for sub / speakers or sub/sub and speaker/speaker... Sure enough after changing it to speaker / speaker it worked ! Overall very impressed with the quality so far ! I've set it to a high limit of volume on the head unit and then adjust the bass and volume through the icc. No distorting so far but haven't been on the road with it working yet.
  11. Yeah that's all its good for now.. I have my morning coffee collect loot, upgrade and quick raid.
  12. After seeing this thread awhile ago Im on lvl 45 and god it's annoying how long it takes to upgrade items ! Im tempted to just start gemming things. Though to help I dropped my trophies to 400 and put the townhall outside the walls.
  13. Yeah I never trust the speaker quality from inbuilt speakers... best to use surround sound or some sort of external speaker like you're using.
