How did the x force go az ?

Yeh great, Fitted well, luckily as there is FA adjustment on the front and middle sections. That said the rear mufflers and tips are fully adjustable so you can get them perfectly centred in the bumper. Nice note, loud but not offensive and NO drone.

On a side note a twin 2.5 has more frictional losses than single 3.5.

On the turbo cars we drive big is best.

anyone have a pic of the 4" turbo back with the twin tip on a fg. received mine today. not sure if I leave it normal or go the twin tip.

If I can throw 2 cents in about 3.5 v 2x2.5- 3.5's have less cross sectional area than a twin 2.5in, but lower surface area to produce drag. So much for muchness between the two. Common sense would dictate that with equal flowing mufflers the twin 2.5 would be quieter, but the sound from the 3.5 would be deeper. So really the choice comes down to note and noise level as to whether twin 2.5 or single 3.5 inch exhaust suits your needs.

You do realise exhaust tube is measured OD. Are you sure twin 2.5 inch is larger in cross section that single 3.5.

Guys - this is buried in a couple of threads - thought it might be good to post under it's own heading:

Exhaust pipe cross sectional area reference list... a fast guide.

(Calculated mathematically using Pi. Area = Pi x r^2 assuming Pi to three decimal places. Does not take into account actual inside pipe diameter reference gauge for accuracy. Remember - with twin systems there will be a minimal double loss due to ID variation. Exhaust gas flows in weird and wonderful ways, and changes its flow characteristics with temperature drop and change in direction.)

Single 3 system:

R = 3/2

R^2 = 2.25

Area = 1 x (Pi x 2.25) = 7.069 square inches

Twin 2.25 system:

R = 2.25/2

R^2 = 1.266

Area = 2 x (Pi x 1.266) = 7.955 square inches

Single 3.5 system:

r = 3.5/2

r^2 = 3.0625

Area = 1 x (Pi x 3.0625) = 9.622 square inches

Twin 2.5 system:

r = 2.5/2

r^2 = 1.5625

Area = 2 x (Pi x 1.5625) = 9.818 square inches

Single 4 system:

R = 4/2

R^2 = 4

Area x 1 x (Pi x 4) = 12.568 square inches
