I have an fg xr6 turbo stick, I have 1000 to spend at the moment, what the best way to spend a grand to get more power?

KPM's new street fighter air intake claims to give up to 12rwkw. One person claims they picked up 10rwkw straight swap no tune. Its around $600

For $1,000 I'd cut the hole in the airbox, venom cat from the group buy and get an HP tune from a decent tuner.

IF that was all I was going to spend on my car mod wise.

If I had plans for further upgrades then I'd keep saving and work towards a level I wanted to end up at as the single job.

At least with that you won't be buying anything now that you need to replace later (unless you go a full exhaust)

CAI = no insurance premium problems. Most are good. I Have Herrod and it's been a great $600 spent.

save more money. do it once and do it right

I would not get a cai they make f*ck all difference. If you can stretch it to $1500 you can get a custom tune and that will make a big difference

How much more power will a tune give me from stock?

#8

injectors and a tune. maybe $1500 should get you up to 260rwkw maybe.

Personally I think you'll end up going big anyways so I'd recommend turbo side now

It won't need a tune

It will sound and look mad and if you diy it'll cost <1k

save your money, hardly worth trying to make more power you have a budget of 1k. Will barely be able to tell the difference on the street

just my 2c as I have been through the modding journey, still am, never stops.
