05/06/16 12:15 PM05/06/16 12:15 PM #1061 Author What abot stainless steel .the holes are 2 mm bigger than the original ones on the standard dump. How about aluminium only for tightening up and then they will melt away anyway
05/06/16 12:17 PM05/06/16 12:17 PM #1062 Use two to align the gasket, nip up two of the other bolts to secure it then remove the spacers?
05/06/16 07:10 PM05/06/16 07:10 PM #1063 Author Lol that's how I thought of doing it after I posted when I went to sleep
06/06/16 09:49 AM06/06/16 09:49 AM #1064 Author Will this catch can work ? thanks for any help .does the stainless steel scourer ever need to be changed ? Thought of getting the lid welded on with them inside so I would never be able to change them .could clean it out with turpentine every now and then
07/06/16 12:51 AM07/06/16 12:51 AM #1066 So your putting a filter in the 50mm outlet? Could probably go to 30mm or whatever odd size the large breather filters are. Looks like a good setup. Just keep it mounted away from the AC fresh air inlet or you will smell the oil fumes in slow traffic, you don't want that to happen. The fresh air inlet is at the base of the wind screen (in the plastic grill) on the passenger side.
07/06/16 06:43 AM07/06/16 06:43 AM #1067 Author I was originaly going to plump it back into the airbox before the filter but was toled that still does not pass .it would help the fumes entering the cab
07/06/16 08:37 AM07/06/16 08:37 AM #1068 why not just plumb back to the intake manifold like factory and put a check valve on that line to stop your can getting boosted..the idea of a catch can is to trap the atomised oil so you dont suck sh*t in. If your going to vent a catch can to atmo...may aswell just put filters your rocker cover and degrease the bay regularly. its as illegal but alot less complicated..

07/06/16 10:49 AM07/06/16 10:49 AM #1070 Check valve = one way valve. Pretty sure -10 is the biggest speedflow have from memory. Fair comment@barnz but the idea of the catch can when pushing more boost is not just to keep the oil vapour out but mainly to relieve pressure, the cans just keep it reasonably clean compared to a filter setup. Last thing you want is to blow out seals because you didnt have a decent breather setup.
