Hey All,

I am looking at buying an iPod Touch but I tested a 32gb one today in my car (FG XR6T 07/08 build w/prem sound + tech pack) and it plays through the audio but the screens says 'iPod not supported'

What iPods are supported so I can see and scroll through songs on the ICC factory screen??? There is a Ford page but it doesnt list any of the new Generation iPods.

Is anyone using a 32gb iPod Touch and it comes up on their screen???

take it to ford and get your car updated. I had the same problem and had it fixed under warranty

No although I have an ipod classic and an Iphone. Both would not work and I had the not supported thing on th ICC screen.

45mins at ford and all fixed

What did they do to fix it?

They had to change some module that also controls/works with the blu-tooth.

Check the audio visual section. I cant remember the name of the thing but there is a topic in it there

I brought an ipod just to live in the car. hunt ebay for older ipod classic, video or photo. I picked up an 80gig for about $200 I think?? that was over a yr ago so could be some bargains to be had... In my opinion the touch is overrated, especially if its just gonna live in the console.

Don't even bother with an FM transmitter. You will not be happy. They are Crap IMO!

Thanks for your comments. Took my car to Ford and they update the AIM firmware. All good now!!! Works for all iPods! So now cranking a sweet 32gb iPod Touch!

They also updated the PCM. Just a quick thought though... Shouldnt they have done this when I actually paid for a service 3 months ago??? Makes you think about what exactly you are paying for...
