I will be starting my apprenticeship with Simon at Xtreme Ford Tuning shortly. I am just wondering if any of you guys have any tips or tricks for me?

Be 2 steps ahead

if you have nothing to do or are in between jobs at work then clean. Sweep floors, clean parts, whatever don't stand around texting or checking facebook.

No matter how well you think you know something, you can always learn more.

And if you *beep* something up, no matter how small, tell someone! Youre an apprentice, *beep* ups are expected. Never try and hide a *beep* up.

one other thing

you have scored a apprenticeship with arguably the best ford tuning shop in australia. think about that for a second.

there are people who would sell their first born for that position. dont take it for granted!

Keep a notebook, write down what you done and how it was done. That way you have notes to go back on, you will not always remember everything. It's always good to keep a record of how it was done for future reference. Most important, respect your boss, and listen what he has to say, lay a foundation of trust with him as that is the most important thing, you want the boss to have 100% trust in what you do.
