I'm no expert but I would expect the wheels to spin before any damage is done if driven properly on non-slicks.

Have had some big thuds changing from one surface to another with the wheels spinning sometimes though.

Thanks guys you've been a really big help... I'll be chucking these mods on in the next couple weeks...just gotta look into this surge tank, is it really necessary to put it on or is there a good chance something will go wrong if I don't?

I'd go a surge tank as well if you can afford it. Always paranoid whether you have enough fuel in the tank otherwise. I would also be going bigger injectors and doing e85 as well.

A surge tank will make sure you don't starve the engine of fuel at WOT with less than 1/4 tank of fuel. When you accelerate hard, all the fuel swirls to the back of the tank and the pump can have issues. A Surge tank is insurance against the pump not picking up fuel and starving your engine of fuel.

I have same mods but with ID 1000 injectors, you don't really need a surge tank.

With a reputable tuner you should get 310-330rwkw.

Diff and tail shaft will be fine.

Speak to a few good tuners and you will be amazed with the results.

I disagree about not needing a surge tank.

Cheaper than an engine rebuild. Good insurance IMO

I have owned 3 T6s ( sedans) and all needed a surge tank for my piece of mind

They do seem expensive, But they are tailor made for the XR6T's. Hidden from view, proven to work. Almost plug and play with the wiring kit.

Alot better then a generic surge tank sitting in the boot.
