I just seen a couple of standard fg motors on here making about that 400 mark.,

im in new zealand where would be the best place and price to get the parts from?

What parts would you reccomend?

I was looking at the spool rebuild kit but if the standard motor is going to make high 300's, 400 rwkw I probably want bother.

cause I currently have a ba xr6 turbo with t5 doing 305 rwkw I was thinking about swapping the ba turbo on to the fg to make that 400rwkw, any thoughts on that?

Kelford cams here in NZ was saying to me they have developed some cams that he recon would make a big difference to my build, whats your thoughts on this?

If you have the chance to build the motor now you'd be crazy not to especially if your aiming towards 400rwkw as it wouldn't be reliable at 400 with a stock bottom end.

I dare say these cars you've seen on the forums are f6's which have a stronger bottom end to begin with??

What mods are done to you BA, and why is the engine already out of the G6? Was the G6 modded?

What are the exact differences between the XRT/G6ET and F6 engines? Sorry I know it's probably somewhere else.

Hey Kyle. Don't forget to mention that the G6ET bottom end has just been fully re-built and hasn't even been run in yet. There may be other options that include selling that and purchasing an Atomic :)

Cheers

yea I brought the car flood damaged and the person sent the motor in to get all rebulit, the bottom end has been fully rebuilt and is still in plastic from the engine reconditioner and same with the head, I brought it all like this. That why I thought it would be a shame to pull the bottom end apart and change the pistons and rods when it has only just been rebuilt. although why it is out of the car and in bits now would be the time to put the forged bits in it, prices anyone?
