  1. ha I would swap the ba turbo for the fg turbo so the ba would end up with the fg turbo.,
  2. Hi I have a ba xr6T and have recently purchased a G6ET whats your thought on putting the ba turbo on the G6ET before I sell the ba?. I am hoping for high 300rwkws, is it a straight bolt on swap and is it worth doing? Or is the fg turbo better? do the heat shields still fit alright?
  3. Anyone got some good contacts for me to get my fg parts? Think im going to just put the motor back together with my ba turbo and hope for high 300rwkw. I need all the bolt ons. Heres a pik of my ba.
  4. yea I brought the car flood damaged and the person sent the motor in to get all rebulit, the bottom end has been fully rebuilt and is still in plastic from the engine reconditioner and same with the head, I brought it all like this. That why I thought it would be a shame to pull the bottom end apart and change the pistons and rods when it has only just been rebuilt. although why it is out of the car and in bits now would be the time to put the forged bits in it, prices anyone?
  5. no real budget, just like anyone try and do it for the best price possible will be fitting everything up myself as I did on my ba. so wheres the best place to get everything?
  6. I just seen a couple of standard fg motors on here making about that 400 mark., im in new zealand where would be the best place and price to get the parts from? What parts would you reccomend? I was looking at the spool rebuild kit but if the standard motor is going to make high 300's, 400 rwkw I probably want bother. cause I currently have a ba xr6 turbo with t5 doing 305 rwkw I was thinking about swapping the ba turbo on to the fg to make that 400rwkw, any thoughts on that? Kelford cams here in NZ was saying to me they have developed some cams that he recon would make a big difference to my build, whats your thoughts on this?
  7. will the standard fg motor be reliable at 400rwk with the ba turbo on it? Or is it likely to blow the motor at that power level? if the motor will be alryt at 400rwk that is what I would like to aim for
  8. what power level dose this motor need valve springs? I am planning on intercooler kit surge tank injectors exhaust I do have a ba xr6t is it worth putting that turbo on my fg before I sell it to get more power?
  9. Hi guys First ever post. I got a g6et currently motor is out of it just deciding wheater to put the motor back together standard or going forged. what would be the max you can push the fg turbo motor standard? Any idea on cost for parts to make it a forged motor?
