20/12/11 03:13 AM20/12/11 03:13 AM #4 Iv seen a car split in half back in South Africa through the side but down the middle is madness. The speed would have had to be 120km+
20/12/11 03:22 AM20/12/11 03:22 AM #5 Author I'd say travelling at close to 200 and maybe slowing down a bit before impact. When you look at the bit stuck next to the tree it looks pretty similar to that focus they crashed in to a wall as a test at 200km/h...
20/12/11 03:35 AM20/12/11 03:35 AM #6 that's insane.More pics here:http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/western-australia/two-dead-in-fiery-crash-on-riverside-drive-just-east-of-city/story-e6frg13u-1226226382165
20/12/11 04:01 AM20/12/11 04:01 AM #7 Pissheads and Drugheads are such a burden to society. A good reason to raise the drinking age to 21 and more traffic cops targetting these people. I am just sick and tired of seeing billions of dollars of taxpayer money dealling with alcohol and drug related problems. They should take a blood test at the scene of the accident and if it is alcohol or drug related they should dump the wreck with the bodies on the front lawn of the parents house. Alot of the time it is the lax alcohol and drug mentality of the parents that the kids inherit.
20/12/11 04:09 AM20/12/11 04:09 AM #8 You can have all the rules you want mate, the same people that don't listen to them now are gonna be the same people that don't listen to the new ones. The only way to stop it or at least cut it right down is ruthless prohibition and have every car speed limited to 100 kays. That's never going to happen so why bother wasting any time or money at all?
20/12/11 04:14 AM20/12/11 04:14 AM #9 Iv seen a car split in half back in South Africa through the side but down the middle is madness. The speed would have had to be 120km+ The car hasn't really been split in the middle, it appears that one side was stripped off during the impact most likely from the welds comming appart as the side that is on the ground is relatively undamaged, that said this impact would be well over 60 the prevailing speed limit, but doubtfully over 140 or so as the tree is still intact. The rear windows in the section behind the b pillar are still intact. Edited 20/12/11 04:16 AM20/12/11 04:16 AM by Slymeat
20/12/11 04:58 AM20/12/11 04:58 AM #10 Good reason not to drive a commodore, in an accident obviously they just fall apart and catch on fire.
