I got a 2011 xr6t and the boot making noise on opening has been annoying, getting fixed this month. Bigger brakes would've been nice, otherwise its a great value for money rocket.

Thing that annoys me most is the manual gearbox clunk when you shift hard or drop the clutch.

Bloody clutch has to be let out so slowly to be smooth

Where do you feel the Clunk? Is it the rear end or more toward the front.

If from rear end Seems a rear end clunk is normal on FG's as few people say they do it when letting off throttle.

Im about to buy a fg 2008 turbo private sell with 45k on the clock its had some work done making 430hp atw, should I be worried about buying it? is it going to cost me more in the long run......???

ticking noise in engine bay sounds like belts is this normal?

Car is awsome apart from that should I get the rear diff bushes checked?

Did most of you wait till your warranty ran out before you modified anything? I like the idea of warranty but I could not drive a stock car for that long! My warranty was void with less then 100 km's on the clock lol

Depends on your dealer. My Dealer told me they are fine with basics like Intercooler, Tune and Injectors.

and my FG even had Mods when I brought it from the dealer and they encouraged me to extend my warranty too.

Also not much of a Warranty when the maximum claim is $2000 or thereabouts, what the hell is the point of that when it wont even cover a engine or transmission replacement.

^^^^^ Bet you $100 if something goes wrong they won't honour there warranty... All warranty claimed go through Ford HQ.. They will knock it back due to " being modified"
