I think the tray sitting low with tubs would look mad if the fronts low enough too. You'll have to sort out the ride height so it sits level.

the front ride height is spot on now... not planning on changing it... there will be a string line when time to sit tray on and get brackets in position so tray sits dead level...

The rubber will sit 25mm into the tray at the back. Tomorrow Im notching out the RHS and capping it all in so it gives about 80mm clearance for up and down travel.

Hey Ben does this tray have to be practical or just look tuff as nails? Cause if just for looks have you considered like the Octane one but with the lower part still in place.

For lack of a better description like a standard ute but with the tub part from the try up taken out if that makes sense??

They look ok, but the attention to detail is not there. Im not a fan of the much smaller 50x25 rhs round the outside.

My bars will continue under the tray to form a step. The cassis will be clad off in stainless steel from the wheels back forming a drop tank look. The exhaust tips will be poking out of it somewhere either the back or the side/s. My mufflers and pipes are all hidden away neatly. Ill be using led strip tail lights mounted onto the stainless cladding underneath. Im not a fan of how much space there is between the wheel and the tray, needs to be much lower. The section at the front protecting the cabin looks like an afterthought. Im sticking with the checkerplate and maybe sprayed same colour as cabin.

They do look good but the one im building, every part of it will be a feature. Not to mention a good advertisement for my business.

And I bet I do it for half what they charge

Hi all..

Im going to build a tray for my new fg XR6T and am wondering if the mounting

points are the same for an fg as they are for a ba/bf.

I ask because a friend has an alloy tray in his garage off a ba and I want to

build mine and just take the mounting positions from it.

Does anyone know if I will run into any problems doing this?

Cheers...

-Ben

All the same chassis. My tray has gone from AU>BF11>FG

Think I know what you mean. Just looks like the tub been cut of horizontally and a floor put on...

I seen one and its not for me.
