ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! People in the know who have bet big with this, perhaps they were the one's who spilt the beans. Easy way to make a lot of money.Whats to say that it will be honoured. What about those who put money on them to win a flag again? Small bets, probably less than a $100 for the normal bloke on a normal sub 100k wage arent so obvious but someone throwing down a few K sure looks dodge. Carlton got nailed a decade or so ago but not to the extent of the storm. Took them years to start bouncing back. Edited 22/04/10 01:57 PM by Mat

End of the day they are better then 90% of the other 15 teamsYeah they cheated but how about putting the fine on a simliar par with the bulldogs in 2002.The buldogs mad $2m in 3 years of undisclosed payments and paid a $500k fine and 37 lost points.Storm does $1.7m over 5 years and gets more of a harsh penalty. They averaged $340k odd a year yet Bulldogs were $660k odd a year over..Yes they won the premieships in that period but who's fault is it that the bulldogs were sh*t and didn't win 1 while they were cheating.I do think its good that they are distributing the $ among all clubs though.I bet if it was a sydney based team the penalty wouldn't be as harsh.Below is a copy/paste from the official NRL site and all in the same year.http://www.nrl.com/news/news/newsart...s/default.aspxBulldogs2009Playing an Unregistered Player.
