Hmmm, you might want to check the rest of your setup, as per my previous post, we have been 460rwkw on the STOCK exhaust and 612rwkw on a 3.5" exhaust with twin mufflers and hollow cat. If you can't make 500rwkw with a 3.5" exhaust, the exhaust isn't the restriction. We have been over 800rwkw with a 4" exhaust with 3 mufflers.

Rapid can make up a 4" exhaust to fit the ute. This will flow 600rwkw with a single muffler. The 3.5" completely hollow wasn't enough to make it past 500rwkw.

Be warned, they wont sound great though!

6B00ST, Less boost for same power would be a more preferred option for alot of people at this power level.. A larger exhaust will achieve this.

Longevity plays a huge part over 400rwkw, even on a built motor your still always cautious.

I went a 4" custom exhaust on my fg ute, I have 2 hooker turbo mufflers (straight through) and cat. I wanted an exhaust system with as little back pressure as possible. at my point in time this exhaust seems a little over kill for only 350rwkw. but I am making that power at only ~12psi.

this exhaust will come into its own when I up the boost to 20+ psi and the 1.00 t4 exhaust housing. in saying that a 3.5" could probably make the same power level I am trying to acheive. ben's f6 is proof of that, 610rwkw is insane! :surrenderwave:

Yep we want to pull the GT42 apart and see what wheels are in it.

The 3.5inch exhaust was an xforce mild steel off the self system, which recieved a "modded" cat, removed centre muffler, custom 4inch dump and 60mm gate piping to suit 6boost manifold / TS gate set up.

We tuned on pump bioflex from caltex, so no special fuel mixes, made 515wkws on mainlines dyno, at 30psi, on 35psi it didnt make anymore kw but did make 200nm through the midrange, suggesting the exhaust flow was maxed.

I removed the exhaust from dump pipe back and made single 4inch, one 4inch straight through Hooker muff in the middle.

Back on the dyno, with no changes, same fuel still in the tank, hit 550 on 32psi straight away, 600 on 37 with some more tuning.

But this is 600 on pump fuel, readily available from Caltex :)

I just ordered a twin 3 inch stainless system from manta. It also has twin cats and a 4 inch dump. Simon at xft has stated really good things about them and apparently there's a + 700hp 6t ute running this system in wa with cats in place. It is replacing my custom made 3.5 inch system from RDP that is supporting 500hp atm...

Hey guys took delivery of my brand new 100cpsi cat and xforce twin 2.5 cat back exhaust for my bf today and have only just had the chance o unwrap it. Now as I started to unwrap my excitment turned to confusion and then to worry!! Have I been given the wrong set up? Or just an extra part?

I'm booked in for a custom tune in a cuppla days so I don't really nee it to be the wrong one!!

heres the pics

What car do you have? I'm on my mobile so I can't see.

That exhaust is for a V8.

That's what I was thinking! I got a bf xr6t! How much difference is there in the pipework from 8 and a 6t? I looked on xforce website and the pics look exactly the same
