thanks guy's only the front and rear bars are/have been painted,picking the car up friday or saturday.where do you buy the swissvax wax from.I do polish the car just a little lazy sometimes.

Hi ravenhard - he just posted saying only the bumpers where resprayed. I guess it all depends on what he gets for $200. I was basically saying that if it's only a wax then I think it's expensive and if it's the works by hand then be cautious because it's cheap and detailing and cheap don't go hand in hand. IF it's a friend it might be different. I'm about to do some of the families/friends cars and won't be charging them anything - it's surely addictive but back breaking!

rootster (love the classy name mate!): Swissvax is just an example. Seriously, you could find a very nice wax for $30-60. I use Poorboys Blue wax on my car which costs approx $30 -> http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=54678 If your car is the same colour in your avatar then possibly Poorboys Natty Blue or White wax would be great. Poorboys Natty's waxes have been compared to other high end waxes and heave held their own very well. Remember your waffle weave towl for buffing it off which is approx $30 too...

what do you think of meguiars NXT generation TECH WAX.Xtreme synthetic polymer protection,any good that's what I usually use.As for the name it started as rooster and one of the mods thought rootster was better so it was changed.Cheers Nick

sorry gents but do your self a big favour and save yourselves alot af timeand money and go get paint protection. paid under $500 for mine when I got my car, havent waxed it once after 6 months I just wash it once a week,and it still outshines all my mates cars after they polish or wax them. Even now even though its dirty because of the rain, from a few meters away you would think that the car had just been polished.

BUT if you want a product that will out shine most other product out their especially with dark colours then Superior Polish by Auto Glym is for you. its what a lot of the prestige auto dealers use on black and grey cars just before you drive it out of the show room. It will not leave one streak on the paint work and it wont turn unprotected plastics or rubber white. shine lasts for weeks.

Paint protection is the biggest load of BS out there!

You are far better off using a quality wax regularly, guarantee hands down it will beat your paint protection on looks and protection. Dealer paint protection dosnt last nearly the 5 years they say and it needs to be expected ever 6 or 12 months and re applied at your cost when necessary.

IMO get this if you dont mind doing a bit of work http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...al-0/lime_prime It will get minor swirls out and leave an incredible shine and great protection. 3 layers will last around 4 months if washed with a proper wash like this http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/...be_mild_shampoo. You will get at least 40 and up to 50 applications from that tub

If your really lazy get this http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/.../need_for_speed it only lasts around a month though and cant be layered.
